I need a little advice.... I had back sugery in Oct to remove a bulging disk that was putting pressure on my sciatic{sp} nerve. well to make a long story short , soon after I started haveing the same pain as before, {sever pain in right buttock and down leg and we will not even discuss the back pain} so i went back to my doctor and he did another MRI and said that the scar tissue had grown around the nerve and that was what was causeing all the pain, put me on meds and said the only other option was surgery. So now I have been on these meds for about 6 months now and the pain is just getting worse. So I have made a appointment with him to discuss the surgery to remove the scar tissue. What I would like to know is if there is anyone else who has been thru this and if so what do i have to look forward too? How dangerous is this surgery and what if they snip my nerve will that cause perm damage? My sister had a car accident a few years ago and just stretched her nerve and now she is crippled and in a wheel chair. Should I take the chance or just keep taking the pain meds and hope it gets better. I don't see how it can get better until it is removed but I am haveing to take pain meds about 4 times a day to even be able to set up or get up to cook dinner or dishes or anything. I am SCARED and don't know what to do

I know they only last about 20 seconds. But man it's a long 20 seconds. I heard if you walk it out it helps. I mainly get mine in my calves. I also heard eating bananas is good for them because of the potasium. Also what causes them ? Sometimes I'll be in bed and just stretch and that causes them.

My 8-year-old brother won't shut up about pai in his legs. He has had trouble standing, walking, and getting out of bed for the past couple of days. Is it growing pains? We walked and swam last week for about 4 hours, could that be it? Is there anyway to get him to feel better?

Can aspirin be used as a drug or something? Like can you get high off it? Can you use it as a pain reliever for anything besides headaches? Please help. I need to know.

I was recently told that I might have Fibromyalgia by my doctor. I don't have pain other than headaches, and I have major fatigue. During times when I feel good though, I had hoped I could continue running, like I was before I started having the dizziness and numbness.

When I get home from work at the garden centre where I work two days a week, my feet are so sore I can barely walk. Once I sit down I find it very hard to get up again and have to limp for a few minutes then they ease slightly. They throb and ache for hours. I have tried various kinds of shoes, walking boots and trainers and never wear cheap shoes. The rest of the week isn't too bad. I'm not lazy and don't sit that much, perhaps a couple of hours throughout the whole day.

I work 3rd shift. Last night we unloaded a truck. I felt fine. I came home and went to bed. As I was getting ready for bed my chest/esophagus started feeling uncompfortable. Like I needed to burp, maybe. I went to sleep and then woke up with pain (not severe make you cry pain-though close). I drank a coke as quickly as I could and tried to burp. I only burped a little. I went back to sleep and woke up maybe 15 minutes later. I was hurting again only now (sorry if to graphic) my left breast hurt all the way to the nipple. I went to sleep and woke up like this 2 other times. I finally just got out of bed. I have to work tonight and I really need some sleep. Now my chest is still uncompfortable. If feel like there is a lump in my chest now when I swallow. And if I try to burp (or do burp) it hurts. This has been going on for almost 6 hours now so I don't figure it is anything to serious. If you have experienced this, how do I get it to stop?

The pain is very severe and throbbing it also feels like its my skull, from all the pain my eye lids begin to close to try to relieve it. Which becomes very dangerous especially while driving!! I thought it might be lack of sleep however, thats not the case. I 'm also a migraine patient however, I'll get these pains behind my eyes but I wont have a migraine and now these pains will cause my migraines to come. I took an eye exam and my vision is perfect, I'm really starting to worry if this is something serious. Any advice?

Yesterday morning I noticed my leg had been hurting around my knee area as I got up and moved around the pain sort of went away but I noticed I had pain in my lower back on both sides that also went away but the pain seemed to of moved forward into my pelvic area on both sides. As the day went on the pain was just on the right side in the pelvic area and in my leg but it was above my knee, it doesnt really hurt to touch it but it hurts moving around, twisting, bending, getting up and down off the chair etc. I just wanted to know what it could be and how long I should expect it to hurt?
