Yesterday morning I noticed my leg had been hurting around my knee area as I got up and moved around the pain sort of went away but I noticed I had pain in my lower back on both sides that also went away but the pain seemed to of moved forward into my pelvic area on both sides. As the day went on the pain was just on the right side in the pelvic area and in my leg but it was above my knee, it doesnt really hurt to touch it but it hurts moving around, twisting, bending, getting up and down off the chair etc. I just wanted to know what it could be and how long I should expect it to hurt?

Tuesday night before this had started I had lifted a computer tower which isnt very heavy but I had to let it rest on my chest and my right leg (the one with pain) so I could open the car door.

The first thing I thought of was sciatica, a pinched nerve. But then I also had twisted my knee when moving some paper boxes. Sounds like that may have happened when you were putting the computer tower into your car. There is always that one odd position when trying to get the door open when holding something. It doesn't take much to do that to a knee. And one of the problems is that the pain travels because you are trying to avoid positions that cause the pain and you stress out other muscles. Take Aleve or some other pain reliever, elevate on a pillow and ice it for 10 to 15 minutes three to five times a day. If it gives you pain for more than three days, check in with your doctor.

It seems like you have been over using the muscles in that can cause the pain you're experiencing. Try to rest as much as possible To give the muscles a break.
Take a hot bath with 2c. of dissolved Epsom salts. Soak for 30 minutes. The Epsom salts will help eliminate the lactic acid that forms on the muscles from over exertion.
Massage an analgesic cream into the sore muscles. I find the best cream for pain is “Blue Emu,” You can read more about this cream at http://www.blue-emu.com/
Dehydration can cause severe pain in the muscles. I recommend you drink purified water mixed with mineral water 50/50. This will replace the minerals that are exiting your body continuously.
I suggest that adults and children drink 40 ounces of water per 100 pounds of body weight every day. Realize that exercise, ambient temperature, and state of health affect the water needs of your body. .
500mg of calcium and magnesium can help with the pain.
If you don't feel better in a few days see a chiropractor or your medical doctor.

Sounds like you fixated some joints in your pelvis and lower back. They are stuck and can't move in certain directions as a result. For instance if your pelvis is stuck posteriorly then you could sit down easily but could not get up easily because your pelvis would not move forward like it should. It's hard to say how long it will hurt. Could be 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, or 1 year. I would see a chiropractor and keep it mor toward the 1 day to 1 week with easy treatment.

well you could have overworked the muscles in your back, and caused swelling, which could in turnn cause pressure on your sciatic nerve. these sympptoms are symptoms of sciatica, and for that you really need to see your pcm, or a pain managemnet speacilist. Usually a doctor will set you up with a cortisone shot, and maybe a little bit of physical therapy. For right now, you def. dont want to do any heavy lifting, any twisting or turning of your abdomen, it will cause the swelling to increase, and could lead to more complications and yes, more pain. Take it easy, drink a lot of water, and yes, magnesium will help, but you really need to get to your doctor. If this isnt taken care of, it can cause lasting problems. good luck

It does sound like you have pulled a muscle or done something when you were lifting the computer tower. I would go ahead and take some ibuprofen, ice it and see if it starts to get any better otherwise you should see a doctor if it doesn't get any better within a week.

Acupuncture, which involves inserting thin needles into various points on your body, may reduce peripheral neuropathy symptoms.

i had the same exact thing. in my case it is different because of my bone condition.... anyway, i think you might have siatica. siatica is caused by somthing pressing on your siatic nerve. until you see a doctor, try heat packs, gentle stretches, walks (although painful, they are helpful) good luck
