I think I am draining blood from my brain through my nose. I was wrestling, everything was fine; I have no obvious injuries or lacerations. I did not lose consciousness and I do not think I have a concussion as my pupils are equally sized and react to light.

Yet every time I blow my nose there is blood in it. There aren't any cuts inside my nose and the bleeding has been going on for almost a day.

What's happening, should I be concerned and what is the best course of treatment?

Can someone please help me evaluate what type of knee injury occured to me? Was it ACL, tendonitis, etc..

Okay, about 3 months ago, i was playing soccer for my team and i made a sharp turn and my right knee had a "giving out.'' but from what i remember, i didnt hear anything. But, i kept on playing the game even though i had great pain in my knee. When i got home, my knee was VERY swollen and it was so for the next few weeks[it felt like there was fluid in it], and i couldn't make it straight without it hurting badly and when i would walk, i would feel random giving out feelings in my knee when i made my leg straight even a little.

All help is GREATLY appreciated!!

A couple of weeks ago I slipped on the ice while getting my fish house on the back of the truck. I had trouble with my back since then. As soon as it started to feel better, I slipped getting out of my truck and fell on my back. I had a little trouble but nothing major about 4 days ago. Today I was getting a gun safe out of the back of the truck and my back popped. I have had pain ever since and can hardly walk.

I think I pulled or strained my quad on my left leg about three weeks ago playing flag football. I can run at a steady pace with no leg pain, but if I sprint it hurts. I havn't played flag football in three weeks and hoped to play tommorow, I just don't know if I can handle it or if I might make the injury worse. I also have tendonitise in my achiles on the same leg, not sure of a relationship. Any opinions. Also I have read not to take Ibuprofrin before running, any one know why cause that was my plan.

Ive been sleepiing on the floor since January and sometimes when I wake up I have a little bit of back pain. Its nothing at all severe and its only some nights. Is this a sign of scoliosis?

(I do have a bed, I just prefer the floor, lol)

Should I go back onto my bed?
Is there a way I can check for scoliosis in my own home or should I get to the doctor A.S.A.P?

for about the past week or two, the back of my calf feels weird, the only thing i can really compare it to, is when you get a shot of novacaine in your mouth, and you know youre touching your gum, but your gum cant feel it. i can only tell this problem is there when im trying to go to sleep and only part of my leg can feel the sheets rubbing up against them, can someone tell me what they might think is wrong, and if it is serious or not?

the ulnar styloid process of my right wrist has a hairline fracture on it. If you don't know what that is, you go straight down your pinky until you reach the bump thing on your wrist. well that thing can't receive any kind of surgery. i work out a lot, and most exercises i do require support from the wrists. i cannot continue to support with this wrist, as it is just too painful. i don't want to give up working out. is there anything i can do?

I had a soccer game last sunday and was kicked numerous times in the shin (right through the shin guard) and it left a bruise the size of a softball. It swelled up quite a bit so I iced it and took some Ibuprofen to get it down. It has gone down quite a bit over the past week and some of the color has faded but I really would like it to fade a lot more because I'm going to Florida on Tuesday and would like to wear shorts without people asking me what happened and ewww.

Lately [for the past week or so] my left foot has been hurting to walk or put pressure on, and is quite painful especially after high intensity swimming. I've done some research and the symptoms match up directly with mine. My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th metatarsals are the most painful, and I'm leaving for Washington D.C. in 2 days. I haven't been to the doctor but I'd like to know whats going on before I have to do a lot of walking. Real medical advice appreciated.

I was walking down the front steps(dreaming), I slipped and hit the floor with my back. (thankfully, I didn't hit the steps)

My right arm took most of the impact. The wrist hurts a little bit, but thats not a big thing, it will go away. BUT the back of my right elbow looks like it has a large tennis ball attached to it. and it hurts bad.

I am not able to stretch my arm more than 150Degrees (people can, upto 180 degrees) or below 40 degrees. My right palm cant touch the right shoulder. Every time I move it closer to the shoulder, it gives me a terrible streak of pain from the tip of my fingers to the neck. Can't write or type properly, how do you get rid of the pain and swelling?

I can pick up things but not more than 3 books.

I can't fully extend my right arm since getting a blood test performed by an insurance company nurse. It's been a week and if I forget and raise my arm I get a burning pulling sensation. Will this feeling ever go away? It is hindering my normal everday lifestyle. Pain starts in the area of the needle puncture and shoots down my arm when I outstretch my arm when reaching for something. I now have to baby this arm. I am wondering if some permanent damage was done.

I am a small statured woman and the air bag hit me right in the face, causing a broken nose, abrasions on the side of my face (not pretty) and ruptured two dics in my neck and further injuring my spinal cord. The cracked up discs in my neck are pressing inwards against my spinal cord. This cost me my career as a legal secretary because the nerves that are affected in my neck go straight to my hands. I have to have surgery or I might pick up a suitcase one day and paralyze myself. Can anyone tell me if they were successful in any lawsuits regarding their injuries and the air bag?

I keep my leg elevated all the time, yet my foot is still ice cold and swollen. I mentioned this to my doctor, and he told me to continue to elevate it. Do you think he is right, or is this an indication something is seriously wrong?

This question is only for young single guys from India.

the situation is the west is very, very different, so the western's answers will not mean much here.

If you are in a situation (e.g. a fracture) where your very personal and private daily routines like urinating, defecating, changing clothes and underwear, etc. has to be done by another person...... who would make you the most embarrasing choice and who would be the least embarrassing:

1. Your family member like a brother or father
2. Your friend
3. Your male cousin

Also tell me how embarrassed will you feel in the hospital if these acts are conducted by a female nurse.

I don't feel pain when this happens. But when I stretch my hams, esp. when they are tight from a leg workout, I will get a pop from both legs right in the middle of the muscle. Could this be bad?
