It is totally normal and you will outgrow it in about a year or two. It is from hormones. Do NOT let a doctor start giving you steroids or HGH or anything to jack your hormones around. It is perfectly natural and you will get through it naturally.

Brian, Perry L is absolutely correct. This is a common condition that surfaces in early puberty. It may last for a few months to a year or longer. Mild tenderness is normal. Don't try to squeeze it.

Yes your mother is right! It's just puberty. You will experience a lot of different things ... drink at least 64 ounces of water everyday it will help avoid some puberty stuff.

it could be a cyst if it hurts.. best to have the doctor check it.. they aren't unsual in that particular part of your body and you can live without having them removed. Put a warm compress and see if it relieves the pressure until your Mom can get an appointment.
