Lately [for the past week or so] my left foot has been hurting to walk or put pressure on, and is quite painful especially after high intensity swimming. I've done some research and the symptoms match up directly with mine. My 2nd, 3rd, and 4th metatarsals are the most painful, and I'm leaving for Washington D.C. in 2 days. I haven't been to the doctor but I'd like to know whats going on before I have to do a lot of walking. Real medical advice appreciated.

Please note, I've been doing a lot involving my legs and feet lately, especially intense exercise. It could also be caused by the fact that I kicked a door or jumped 10 feet out of a tree...

Also note, it is slightly swollen and the area hurts to the touch.

You really should see the Dr. especially if you are going to be doing a lot of walking. If the Dr. thinks it's warranted they will order an x-ray and depending on the results will go from there.
You sound like an active person and you don't want to do more damage by not taking care of something that while now may be minor but ignored could cause you more grief in the long run.

Yeah, the door kicking and tree jumping have not helped- I'm sure. The swimming probably has nothing to do with it. It it hurts really bad, you could have an ordinary fracture. Is there swelling, redness or bruising?
Try ibuproffen, ice.

Ok. It seems like you've overexercised, which may also be interpreted as a "burnout". I suggest seeing a doctor immediately, since you really don't want to make your feet feel stressful/in pain during a "long walk".
