I think I pulled or strained my quad on my left leg about three weeks ago playing flag football. I can run at a steady pace with no leg pain, but if I sprint it hurts. I havn't played flag football in three weeks and hoped to play tommorow, I just don't know if I can handle it or if I might make the injury worse. I also have tendonitise in my achiles on the same leg, not sure of a relationship. Any opinions. Also I have read not to take Ibuprofrin before running, any one know why cause that was my plan.

No, because you will injure yourself further. The scar tissue is not as strong as regular tissue and it will tear if you aren't careful.

Are you talking about stitch? If that is merely stitch you're talking about... that is the way you ward off it: positioned hand on abdomen- then exhale by the mouth two times... correct away when you shut your mouth- the air will flow by your nostril with out you even putting attempt into it- your abdomen will develop... try it (it truly is how that is meant to be- maximum human beings inhale deeply first with lots of attempt- which does no longer fairly do any sturdy).... by exhaling two times first- you enable the diaphragm to grow to be in touch- and proper away you're respiratory thoroughly with out traumatic the organic way we would want to continually be respiratory- common!.Then proceed: exhale-exhale (by mouth) - then inhale (by nostril)...a million-2- threee ... a million-2- threee you inhale deeper this way and artwork your diaphragm from the very starting up- somewhat of purely once you're grasping for air at that factor of your run once you fairly start up respiratory in deeper- that unexpected involvement of the diaphragm (muscle) is what motives a stitch. (which appears like a cramp)
