A couple of weeks ago I slipped on the ice while getting my fish house on the back of the truck. I had trouble with my back since then. As soon as it started to feel better, I slipped getting out of my truck and fell on my back. I had a little trouble but nothing major about 4 days ago. Today I was getting a gun safe out of the back of the truck and my back popped. I have had pain ever since and can hardly walk.

You may indeed have injured (or re-injured) yourself badly enough to need to see a doctor, but try this first:

Lie on your back and pull your knees to your chest. Just relax there for 10 minutes. See how your back feels when you give the musculature a chance to relax out of spasm.

Sleep on your back with a pillow under your knees and don't lift anything heavy for a week or so.

Learn HOW to lift without putting strain on your back. Bend your knees and lift with your legs; don't lean over and use your back muscles to do the work.

You should see a Dr. if at all possible, if not: put ice on it 1st, you probably have some swelling (even if not noticable) like every hour or so for 15 minutes, the 1st day, then heating pad while taking it easy. Take aleve for pain and inflamation.

you might have a slipped or ruptured disk...go to the Dr ASAP or better yet go to the emergency room NOW....back problems are nothing to mess around with!
