My thyroid keeps swelling up and getting rock hard. I had blood test done and my endocrinologist said that everything was fine. I dont believe that because a few years ago my husband went through the same thing and had to get his removed. They even did a scan and said it was normal. Yet my regular family doctor was feeling my neck and told me that on that day it was in fact swollen and hard to go back and tell them to do more test. But my endo just keeps saying that it is fine...HELP? It is starting to affect my breathing and eating when it does this.

I am right now sick and I cant breathe because of the mucus and all....and I can feel when the valves or whatever their called are being opened so I can be able to breathe, and it hurts....is this normal...??
I can hear the mucus way down inside my nose, very inside, and when I hear the little noise, my head hurts..alot!!

I was sitting down in class and all of a sudden I lost my balance so i fell forwards so I had to put my hands on the desk to keep me upright.

And the room started spinning for about 15 seconds. Similar to when you spin round and round for ages then stop.

Lack of sleep? Low blood pressure?

Any suggestions or ideas appreciated.

This is the first time this has happened, so i'm not really worried about it. But it was very strange so i'm interested to know the actual cause of it.

I've had dizziness, ringing in the ear, hearing loss and nausea and my gp suspects meniere's disease. He has referred me to an ENT specialist at my local hospital and has started me on medication (which is starting to help).

My question really is I don't know alot about Meniere's and have tried to get more info off the net, but haven't found it useful, can anyone help me with information on the disease in general and if possible what tests I might face when I see the ENT specialist?

Any help would be most useful.

I am undergoing lots of stress. My grandmother just died, my dad is sick from it emotionally many more stressful situations in my life right now. I drink casually but also engage in binge drinking every other weekend. I am overweight (not severly though). I smoke cigarettes. Lately while sitting at work or just thinking about stressful things my heart begins to beat a very fast rate. I try to calm down and I just want to cry. I don't have health insurance so I can not see a doctor without the costs of an arm and a leg. I get heartburn as well but that is different than what I am describing. (also under stressful situations). Sometimes I also experience pain in my chest but it has become almost like a ritual every so often. I know I need to seek medical attention but can someone please help me on yahoo.

I have fistula-in-ano and doctor said that you have to remove it by surgery. I am concerned about surgery that how painful is it and how long does it takes to heel up, how many days do I have to take off from work. If somebody has the fistula-in-ano surgery experience then please share with me.

Thanks
A

I was talking to this attractive girl one time at a club and as she opened up her purse to get a pen to write down her number, I saw a pack of cigarette and the feeling I got from that instant was like she's taking something that's not good for her. Kind of like seeing someone with prescription drug in her purse and you wonder "I wonder what kind of health issue this person has?" So cigarette is even worse! It's that nasty feeling I get when I see that pack right there in the purse. I dont' even know why they have to smoke to begin with anyway. It's the nastiest thing to do for your only precious body.

I am a speech pathology student and have been asked this ? in class and have to make a case as to why the SLP should continue the MBS despite the observed signs noted; whereas the radiologist wants to stop the study secondary to observed transient penetration, occasional aspiration & pyriform residual on all consistencies.

Synthroid can interact with a wide variety of medications. It's advisable to check with your doctor before taking any other drug, but you should be especially wary of the following:
Antidepressants such as Elavil, Ludiomil, and Zoloft

I have had little or no voice for almost 2 months. I have had a scope put through my nose into my throat, the doctors say that my vocal cords are swollen slightly. He has given me pepcid and FLonase for treatment.....this is not working.

Now, my ears hurt...not like an infection but rather the outer opening is swollen and ears hurt to touch as well as around the ears.

Today, I found a lump about the size of a quarter behind my ear on my neck just at the base of my skull. It is hard and does not seem to move and is a bit sore, but only when touched.

Any ideas anyone?? I am getting a bit worried, but don't want to keep goin to the doctor (he may think I am nuts)!
