Here's my take on the synthroid and zoloft. Depression is a symptom of being hypothyroid. Unfortunately the doctors just hand off an antidepressant rather than trying to treat the thyroid. Often times the depression is because the patient needs T3 and the doctor is only giving him/her T4. That's why a med like Armour or Thyrolar usually helps with depression in hypothyroid patients.
