I was sitting down in class and all of a sudden I lost my balance so i fell forwards so I had to put my hands on the desk to keep me upright.

And the room started spinning for about 15 seconds. Similar to when you spin round and round for ages then stop.

Lack of sleep? Low blood pressure?

Any suggestions or ideas appreciated.

This is the first time this has happened, so i'm not really worried about it. But it was very strange so i'm interested to know the actual cause of it.

There are many things that cause dizziness. You could be dehydrated, have low blood pressure, or vertigo. If the dizziness continues see a doctor. If not then don't worry about it becuase everyone gets dizzy every now and then.

Could be any number of things. Low or high blood pressure could cause. Lack of oxygen to the brain. Inner ear infection. The list is endless. Unless it happens frequently or without cause, I wouldnt pay to much attention to it. Usually, dizziness comes on more often when changing position like getting up or bending over towards floor or getting up or down TOO FAST. Just doesn't usually happen when just sitting and doing nothing. If it does, I would lean more towrds infection ini nner ear causing equilibrium imbalance.

I think it might be blood pressure. You should go to wal-mart or any other place to check your blood pressure. Also try checking out with a doctor, it might just be an illness.
