I constantly feel as if I am thirsty (mostly because I cannot really keep fluid in my system...I go to the bathroom a lot). I have a pressure feeling on my bladder that goes in cycles of coming and going. At the risk of being kind of gross, my urine smells kind of weird...it's hard to put my finger on it, but maybe ammonia? The doctors think I have interstitial cystitis (chronic inflammation of the bladder wall) but I have been unresponsive to treatments and have been getting frustrated.

I'm wondering if there are any other thoughts on what may be causing my symptoms and how I can fix it.

Do you know someone who's done this? Should there be a law passed to prevent the purposeful spread of this disease? Why would this be okay? Why would this NOT be okay? Even if there was a tiny chance that baby could be infected would you actually do it???

I have ear infections fairly commonly; when I was younger my doctor considered tubes in the ears. (Usually its an inner ear infection; or it was swimmers ear) Now I am older, and no longer on my parents insurance, and not really wanting to go to teh doctors every few weeks for an ear infection I simply cannot afford it. Is there some way to treat these at home?

My father is a heart patient who suffers from water-retention and has to take Lasix everyday to keep it under control. But when he goes on a water-fast (drinking only water, no food, no drinks other than water, no drugs or suppliments), his water retention problem (if it was bad the day before) gradually goes away sans Lasix. And he won't have any water-retention problem for the duration of his fast and a few days after. Can someone explain to me how this is possible??

Thank you.

Ive been readin about candida because ive been havin problems with my sinuses. I did the spit test and I guess I have candida cuz the spit was stringy and sat at the bottom of the glass. I mean is this a legit test? can something else do this to my spit like post nasla drip or an excess amount of mucos? ive been to the doctor about my sinuses not the candida. From what ive been readin its kind of discouraging to even think about goin to a regular doctor. Is there any tests that actually look for candida that are legit? The main reason why ive been lookin into all this is because my breath. I remember this started bout 7 years ago, the bad breath. I didnt have sinus problems or anything, i jus felt like something was always in the back of my throat. I really never had the symptoms of candida. I went through a very stressful time a couple months back. Im really jus concerned about my breath. Would candida have anything to do with it? Ive done everything for my sinuses so iono what to do.

I was told that a friend's mom had bowel stones and had her bowels removed? I have personally never heard of such a thing. I have tried to look everywhere to this, but I have had no luck. I keep finding information about kidney stones that can lead to inflammatory bowels. UGH Please supply links if you can. Thank you so much.

About 6 months ago I noticed a very mild pain between my left hip and belly button and have been feeling it off an on since. I don't feel the pain most of the time and I only seem to feel the pain when I press on the area in a certain way, sometimes if I press down there is no pain but if I rub the area I notice it. It feels like it is on the surface, and is always in the same area. The pain also seems to come and go, one week it is there the next its gone but it hasn't gotten more intense since the first time I noticed it. It hasn't caused me enough trouble to bother going to the doctor, I am perfectly healthy otherwise, but I am quite curious as to what the hell the cause of it is.. Any ideas? Should I see a Doctor?

I got my wisdom teeth removed almost 2 weeks ago and am currently recovering from two dry sockets. :-( The dentist packed them with medicated gauze two separate times. Now he's taken the gauze out and left them open. They don't hurt, but they feel really funky. My question is...what's going on in the sockets? I have two gaping holes back there, but is there anything covering the bone? Is it another blood clot? Should I worry about the sockets becoming dry again? How do they heal and how long does it take? I know it's a lot of questions, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere and my dentist wasn't too clear. Thanks!

Hi, i am new and I have a very serious question. I had Bell's Palsy in November. About 2 or 3 weeks in I started having a foot drop. I ignored it. At the end of december I started experiencing weakness in my hand. Now the past week I have noticed slurred speech or feeling like I cannot get my words out. I have to slow down tremendously to get things out. Here is the kicker. They only happen every once in a while and never all at the same time. Weird huh! Everyone else swears they can't tell about the slurred speech. I can't be imaging it .....can I? The Dr. Told me He wanted to get an MRI or Cat Scan. I am classified as Working Poor and have no Insurance. The MRI is close to 1,000 andthe cat scan is 309.00. I need advice both ways. Has anyone else experienced the same things? What can I do. I feel helpless!!!

I suffer from vaginismus, I know everything about it & I am currently using the dilators to treat it. I would love to hear other women's success stories as this gives me encouragement and inspiration. Sometimes I feel I'll never get past this.

My right eye has the constant feeling that it is swelling shut. The lid is very heavy. It is not both eyes, just one. It is not actually swollen....just feels like it. If you have ever been bumped in the eye, you would know what feeling I am talking about. I am not sure what is going on...there is nothing in my eye, either. This has been going on for about a month. Thanks so much for any help or advice you may have.
