Gargle with salt water, or go to a doctor and ask him/her if maybe your throat is infected or maybe there's something wrong with it? You never know. Good luck!

Steps

1. Drink hot tea and eat chicken soup. This will ease the pain, and give you fluids and some nourishment.
2. Eat some ice cream, or ices. It will numb your throat and give temporary relief.
3. Take a hot shower. The steam vapors help clear your sinuses, which usually is a cause of a sore throat.
4. Get a bottle of chloroseptic spray and spray liberally in the back of your throat. It will numb your throat and make it kill bacteria.
5. Gargle with lukewarm salty water at least 3 to 4 times a day. The salt should be dissolved in the water.

Tips

* Stay away from eating hard foods, like meat, chicken and toast. It will hurt going down.
* If you eat something, and it hurts going down, stop eating it.
* Cooking fresh chicken soup is best, but a box of Lipton Chicken Soup with Noodles is great, fast and easy.
* Swallow one teaspoon or tablespoon of honey. The honey coats the throat and provides momentary relief.
* Cough drops/lozenges will soothe your throat, but won't get rid of it completely.
