sounds like you have moisture in the walls and the crystals are mineral deposits left behind from in the water.

It sounds like salt 'leeching' from the bricks and mortar. It also sounds like its a new build house and would be surprised if it was'nt. Nothing to worry about. Goes away after a while.

I was chatting to my mum about this only the other day and just rang her to re-check. It has something to do with the level of salt in the clay when the bricks are manufactured.
