I am looking to lose some weight...10 pounds or so. I am not a heavy person, just have a little extra, is weight watchers too much for me? Is weight watchers for people looking to loose more than this?

Why am I not losing more weight. I eat between 1500 - 1700 cals. a day. I drink tons of water. I've given up sodas. still have a sweet tea every now and then. I walk (high intensity) about 3 or 4 days a week for at least 30 minutes every morning before breakfast; which for the past 3 days has been a whey protein shake, egg whites and oatmeal. I do strength training and also use 5 lbs. dumbbells. (i'm a beginner). On days I don't walk; which is on my treadmill by the way I do hip hop dancing. One more thing, usually after a work out I feel tired and sleepy..What's going on...Thanks

I want to lose 80 lbs within say 6 months. I exercise atleast an hour a day at the gym, but I think my diet either has too many calories or I'm just not eating the right things. What's a good basis to go by when on a diet? I drink a lot of water, but I do want this weight to be gone fast.. what can I eat and what foods are great for certain meals?

Does anyone have a Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner regiment that's pretty simple to follow? I plan on going grocery shopping tomorrow and would like a game plan.. I don't feel my current diet is effective.

To explain further, I am dieting, I am eating mostly salads, veggies, beans, rice and fruit. I drink water, tea without sugar, and diet drinks once in a while. I am not consuming foods that the restrictions do not allow for, but I get hungry more often, and I get grumpy when I can't eat. I can't eat at work unless it's lunchtime. I wait until I get home to have dinner, and the temptations to eat afterwards, I fight them with carrots or water. But I am so tired of salads and carrots - help me to keep up hope and not break down and eat a Snickers!

I read from somewhere that as a beginner, I should do two arm exercises, two shoulder exercises and two leg exercises.. I'm going to include chest as well.

Anyway, I was thinking maybe I should do this:

*10 reps for arms and shoulders (3 sets) - rest in between sets 1 min.
*10 reps for legs and thighs (3 sets) - rest in between sets 1 min.

Is it ok for me to exercise arms, shoulders, torso and legs all on the same day (with 3 sets on each)? Or should I only do one part of my body each day (for example, I exercise arms and shoulders on Monday, rest on Tuesday, then exercise the chest and legs on Wednesday)? Which one is recommended? Thanks for your help.

Can you guys please post the different supplements you stack that have honestly given you good results? I would like to put on about 20 pounds of muscle...and being a bit skinny...its very hard for me.

Other than protein, what are some other supplements that stack very well and produce strong results?

I'm just trying to eat healthy, I'm not going on a "diet" but I'm just trying to watch what I eat and eat healthier. On average it seems like I consume around 1600 caleries, 220 g carbs and 56 g of fat. I want to know if it's more important to watch my carb intake or my fat intake. I excersise about 30 minutes a day.

I'm talking about in regards to excercise, because I am lifting weights to get my upper body pumped for the Army, but I'm not sure whether to consume the protein before or after, or before and after keeping in mind that I'm not rich to buy all these special protein bars time and time again. Also, meat protein, or soy protein?

Normally, in the first half of the day I'm not hungry and eat little. Then, in the afternoon I start eating more. Later on I get even more hungry and eat quite a bit. The end result is that I sleep poorly.

I don't really understand why the urge to eat is so high later in the day. I'm a skinny guy not doing too much physical work. It seems like I shouldn't be very hungry at all.

If I try to not eat after 6:00PM, like the experts suggest, I can't sleep. It's like I need a pile of food as a drug to knock me out.

Any idea on how I can change that habit? Thanks.

I'm 5'4" and 105lbs. I am not anorexic. I am not bullemic. Never have been. I can out-eat any man I know...most of the time. My mother is tiny, my father is medium build. Out of 6 kids, I was the runt.
Why do people always hate on me and talk sh*t just because I'm a size 0?

until after the holidays? Everyone in my family is telling me that it will be too hard to try to stay on a diet through Thanksgiving and Christmas. Maybe some of you have some tips on how to stay on track?
