where can i find a cheap kit to buy do-it-yourself braces? i've seen one at Wal-Mart before, but it looks kind of cheap. it was $49.99. I really don't have the time or the money for an orthadontist. The most I can spend on one is $50.

I have not been to the dentist in 2 years. I just got insurance and picked a dentist in my town. The practice was beautiful and seemed to have many patient.

I went into the exam room and right away, the dentist came in. Sat me back and started "scraping" my teeth pretty rapidly, it didnt seem as thorough as in the past with other dentists. After about 30 seconds of scraping he cleaned my teeth with the scrubber machine thing and it was over. The hygenist took my xrays and I was dismissed.

No one asked me if I floss or smoke or drink pop or asked how i brush my teeth or talked to me at all...it was over with in less than 10 minutes.

I am a little turned off. Maybe my teeth are in really good shape...but they have been my whole life so i dont understand why this time my exam was so short.

Did i get Jipped?

Just FYI, I know what most doctors believe causes these sores and that includes Iron deficiency. Another cause could be stress. But its different between people. I just would like to know if there is a pretty much tried and true way to get rid of them or sooth them so they go away faster. Getting them less would be cool too. :) Thanks!

I've very bad loose gum and recently teeth falling off 1 by 1. Now, I left with only 9 shaky teeth and affecting my diet badly. Urgently need to replace all but hear the damage is very high. Can the cost be payable via CPF?

Hi, I'm 15 and have had braces for six years (yes I know, ridiculously long.) Anyway, I have recently began to mature a bit and have been wearing my elastics regularly and have been brushing my teeth regularly. I'm due to get them off in a few months. However, I've noticed these white marks around my braces, which I've found out are 'tooth decalcification' marks. I got these a few years ago when I wasn't so religious about oral hygiene. Is there anyway to get rid of them? What can I do?
