k, so i have had braces for 1 year. i brush twice a day and i've noticed my teeth have gotten a lot yellower. i know that the rectangles hidden by the bracked on each tooth has a lighter shade compared to the rest of my teeth. so how do i get my teeth a shade brighter...???
does ACT mouth wash help?
pleaseelp, i want to be able to fix this in like 2 weeks or so...

My daughter got them yesterday and they were fully activated. The top one went on fine because there were less teeth to straighten, however; because her pain tolerance is so low the orthondontist told her to go home and work on getting it on herself. She thinks she felt it snap in to place but there still appears to be a larger gap on one side from the top of the tooth to the actual plastic. How will she know when it is completely on? Our orthondontist is 2 hours away so going there everyday is not an option.

I had a root canal on Wednesday, which stirred up bacteria and caused a pretty bad infection that caused my face and neck to swell really bad. At the time I had a "small abscess" nothing visible at the gums. Thursday I went to the dentist again, he cleaned and capped the tooth and gave me Clindamycin 300 mg to help with the infection. I went to the ER later that day where they gave me an IV of Clindamycin and did a CT scan of me. At the time, no major abscess and no infection in my blood. Fast foward to today, the swelling has reduced, but this morning I had two boils near the tooth that I had the root canal on. This even I had a rancid taste in my mouth, checked the minor and there was pus flowing out of the base of my gum, so I'm assuming whatever abscess I did have ruptured. I have another appointment on Monday, will I be OK during the weekend? I'm on antibiotics and the condition appears to be improving (less swelling and pain).

I had several crowns fitted about a week ago. At first I looked and felt o.k.Now my teeth are extremely sensitive and I feel most unwell-nauseous dizzy and weak. Nothing tastes or smells right and my mouth fills with saliva. I don't feel like myself at all. Is this normal? How long will recovery be? Is it possible that I'm allergic to the metal or any of the other materials used?

When I was a younger teenager I had braces, when they were removed a wire was left behind my lower row of teeth. I was told it'd be there forever. Well.. I just bent it eating a carrot and now I feel pressure on my teeth. Its alot of money to see a dentist but I hope to save some money by just having it removed, I'm currently 22 and had the braces removed over 7 years ago. Can the wire be removed or will it have to be straightened? To be honest I'm considering removing it myself to avoid dropping 500 bucks to have them do the same thing I would... so... I know in a perfect world I'd just go see a dentist, but seriously what am I lookin' at here?

I brush my teeth every night and day, twice a day, and I floss once 2... But every time I go to the dentist I get a cavity... :'( My brother doesn't always brush his teeth and never got a cavity.. not once... I just recently looked into the mirror and saw some black on my upper tooth but a lot of white... I had to floss 10 times, use a tooth pick, and use the water squirting thing to get the food out... it took about an hour and now I have a really bad cavity that I didn't even notice... I brushed my teeth every day and flossed too but food always gets in and i always get a cavity... I only have a cavity on 2 perminent teeth with a filling but I had tons on my baby teeth... before all my gum was out on my 12 yr onld moller I had a cavity on that one.. Is there anything the dentist can put or do to my teeth that all my permanent teeth don't get wreched??? My mom says it's the shape of my teeth that causes all the cavities...

Recently, I've been waking up with a thick layer of white gunk on my tongue. I have not changed any of my oral hygiene. I stick to it faithfully. My dentist says it is not oral thrust because it is not in patches and doesn't bleed when scraped off. I've been using a tongue scraper, but it continues every morning. It seems to get better after I eat or drink. I've tried mouth washes, peroxide, etc. and can't get it to stop forming. The part that puzzles me is that it just recently started. Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

I prefer no freezing or gas, because then I know what the dentist is doing to me. And it doesn't hurt when I look at a spot and think only of it. Some call it self-hypnosis, but it works whatever you call it.

I'm scared of injections especially in my mouth, never had a filling but got first one on Tuesday, is the drill really big, does it hurt (the filling and injection)? What will it look like, it's a white one but will it be obvious or come out? Aa tell me everything about fillings and how much it hurts or not please!! How many fillings have you had? How can I avoid more cavities?

My dentist told me that I should be able to get back to work 2-3 days after the minor operation. But the last time I had one of my tooth extracted (not impacted molar), it got swollen for almost 4 days.

I just can't afford no to show up on Monday because its my first day at job!

This is really a 3 part question:

1. I have a back molar that was temporarily filled about 2 years ago and was never finished. the filling came out awhile back, and now there is a quarter of my tooth completely gone, and the nerve is exposed. It is extrememely painful -- i can hardly function, and with a 6 month old son to care for, i need to do something about it! What will need to be done?

2. no matter what treatment i need, i probably can't afford it. i have little to no money after bills, rent, and other necessary costs. Are there any programs in Arkansas that can help pay for treatment?

okay, so it was a 2 part question....

its been 2 years and 2 months since i had it on and my teeth are gradually getting straight... i needed braces because my teeths were overcrowded due to my small jaws and so i had to pull out 4 teeths prior to getting my braces... so i did and it is getting better... BUT the thing is my alignment is not good..my left side is nice but i cannot bite down on my right side because it seems like the lower jaw is shifted more to one side and and my bottom teeth is still crooked and its hard to explain it but its prettyy noticible..and my ortho is saying he is going to take off my braces KNOWING that its not finished, and his reason is " THIS IS ALL I CAN DO.. NOT EVERYONE'S TEETH IS PERFECT" wtf? and i consulted a different orthodontist and he said it is FIXABLE so is it possible to sue my ortho for his unfinished job?? i really dont know what to do... if i can get partially my money back, then thats all i would ask for.. but if he says he cant do that, then can i sue him? please help me!
