My daughter got them yesterday and they were fully activated. The top one went on fine because there were less teeth to straighten, however; because her pain tolerance is so low the orthondontist told her to go home and work on getting it on herself. She thinks she felt it snap in to place but there still appears to be a larger gap on one side from the top of the tooth to the actual plastic. How will she know when it is completely on? Our orthondontist is 2 hours away so going there everyday is not an option.

i have invisalign, if they put on attachments which are little tooth colored bumps on your canines usually, it will click and should fit over those, but if they didnt put attachments on just make sure there is no gap between the alligners and the teeth, push all the waydown even if it hurts.

I have Invisalign too. I've just had attachments placed and boy are they difficult to put in and take out. If there is a large gap, she has probably snapped part of the tray in but not all of it.
She needs to look in the mirror and watch herself do it. I've found that if I flex the tray a bit on the sides toward my tongue and place the tray over the teeth from that angle they pop in a little easier because they're sliding over the attachments. Getting them off can be even harder though. I don't have long fingernails but my thumbnails are mangled from trying to pry them off my teeth. I've found though that if I lift a small section at a time and go little by little around the tray, I have an easier time of it. I often get my cheeks pinched under the tray though so I really have to get my fingers way in there to protect my checks from the sliding tray. As you put them in and take them out, they soon become easier, especially as the teeth begin to actually line up with the tray. Good luck!

HELLO,
BOTH OF THE ABOVE ANSWERS ARE CORRECT. THE TRAYS HAVE TO BE FULLY SEATED EVEN IF THEY FEEL TIGHT. MAKE SURE THEY ARE IN THE CORRECT ORDER IN THE TIME SEQUENCE OF INSERTION.
