I know I already asked this, but I wanted more answers because I cannot find anything online at ALL. My back gum is swollen, and it hurts a lot. It is very big compared to the other gum. Am I getting my wisdom teeth?

I haven't been to a dentist in 10 years since I had to have my jaw stapled because of a botched up dentist job.
Luckily my teeth are ok, I look after them well, but I have just broken my tooth off on a chicken bone, it hurts like hell and I'm crying like a baby.
I am so so scared of going to the dentist, I feel sick at the thought of them even touching me with their rubber gloved hands, what am I going to do? I know I'll have to go, all I have is like a stump with a big hole in the middle.
Will the dentist let me given gas or an aneasthetic? I don't think I can go through with it unless I'm out of it.
Can anyone make me feel better?

They did an X-ray and said I had gum disease and to come back in 2 weeks - is there anything I can do in the meantime and is gum disease serious and if so is it curable? My teeth look OK to the naked eye. What will they do in 2 weeks?

My back gum is swelling a lot, and it hurts to bite down. It is really swollen, and is like huge compared to the other side, and it is only this one side. Do you think they are wisdom teeth?

Guys, have to go in to get all four wisdom teeth pulled next week, have put it off once once already caused i'm kinda worried about it being put to sleep (with gas). I asked several time not to but it has to be because there so impacted.

Has anyone ever been put to sleep for this op? Is it ok? Do you feel sleepy or just pass out with out warning? Is it a deep sleep, can your hear or feel anything? Do you dream? Does the gas smell bad? Do you feel ok when you wake up? Lots of questions but if i know whats gonna happen i'm sure i'll be grand! I suppose its a bit odd to worry about the anesthetic but not the actual teeth removal

i have awful teeth. i brush, floss, rinse, you name it... i've just always had cavity-prone teeth. i know sugary foods and beverages are bad for teeth but what about diet sodas with no sugar? i realize there isn't any sugar in sugar-free sodas but they're still all sticky and stuff. thanks!

I understand that this product is made for children but I am 37 and I wanted to see how bad my brusing habits were. I must brush my teeth better than I suspected because I couldn't see any blue on my teeth. I recall in the 70's when I was in grade school, the teachers would have a session devoted to teeth care. They would bring out those red tablets. All the kids chewing away and proudly show off the red stains. Until the teacher would inform us that this was bad to see all the red. It wasn't fun after he comment knowing we had "yuck mouth" Do you recall doing that in school? My friends told me they don't educate children like that any more.
Must be up to the parent. Have a good day.

I whitened my teeth with an at-home bleaching kit from the dentist's office and my teeth only felt slightly sensitive while doing it. Then afterwards the pain got progressively worse until it was pretty excruciating, and now its better, but still a nagging pain and sensitivity. This has been going on for HOURS now! I have been using a special sensitivity toothpaste with flouride when I brush, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I also tried tylenol and vicodin which didn't help the pain either. Does anyone know any products or remedies or ANYTHING to help get rid of or prevent tooth sensitivity? I'm supposed to use that whitening kit at least a few times to get desired results, but now I'm dreading ever doing it again after the pain. Is there anything else I can do to combat the sensitivity? Thanks.

Well, today i got two bits of metal on the back of my two front teeth because my teeth are kinda like these in the sense that my front teeth hide my bottom teethhttp://www.bracesbyberry.com/images/overbite.jpg (the first picture) and my front teeth are even longer! And i don't understand why this metal ledge thing that my back teeth now purch on will help, because surely when they take them off, my bottom teeth will slide under my front teeth completly again. I wish i could show you what i mean! And if you understand what i'm talking about, also there will be gaps in between my top molars and my bottom molars and just a gap in between my top and bottom jaws so they don't sit nicely and neatly. I'm sorry to rabbit on so, but i'm very concerned! Also how long do you reckon i will have to keep these of for? Thank you sooo much!!! I don't yet have braces, because i'm on a waiting list to get two teeth taken out, and my orthodontist says this needs to be fixed first. thankyou :D
