I am a 19 year old, these days what bothers me most is my teeth.
I have had 8 fillings done recently.Besides,my front teeth (2 lower ones) have rotten half way, probably beyond help.My dentist, has
asked me to take time and then get back to him.I guess the only way left is that these teeth have to be extracted.
I never really had any painful experiences, nor do i look bad, with these teeth. As my dentist rightly pointed,in my case, these teeth arent really visible when i talk. But it is just that i have practiced to speak that way,& sometimes these teeth could show up.It is not just people & the way i look that matters to me.People are simply so insensitive.
I've always had bad teeth, the teeth i have problem now were
extracted when i was younger. But in its place, these teeth are also bad.My dentist told me,this tells about my hygeine and points that i eat a lot of sweets. He's right, but i am a lot more cautious now.I cant afford my treatment now, what do i do?

Can any recommend an exercise routine for my wife and myself. We are both in our mid 20s, and are already pretty slim, but wanted to get in better shape and more tone. Right now my wife basically only does cardio (eliptical machine) and I have been doing cardio for 15min then some weights (usually focusing on 2 muscle groups per day) for about 30min. Can any suggest a better workout?

Can anyone tell me if gingivitis painful? I have had a lot of dental work done in the last 2 months and my dentist says my teeth are very sensitive. I go for a cleaning this morning, haven't had one in over 6 years. Anyway, my gums around my molars are puffy and feel inflamed, one is really bothering me. I don't know if this gingivitis or possibly a cavity my dentist could have missed or sensitivity? Any ideas?

The substance is soft, off-white, located near and under my gumline and occurs only on a few teeth. When using a gum stimulator, a device with a pointed tip, I can go close to the gumline or under the gumline and scrape this stuff off.

I've tried finding answers online. Is this bad or good to scrape off? I also have receding gums. Is this material connective tissue or connective fibers left over as the gums start to recede? Does scraping this off prevent gums from reattaching to the teeth?

Or is this material plaque-like substance that is necessary to remove before it forms into other harmful substances, e.g. plaque?

ok, i made an ortho appt to talk about my jaw. i have had braces and worn retainers for about 2 years. my jaw has been acting up for about 1 year and ive talked to my ortho about it before, and i think its cause i clench. it used to pop and stick at night but not anymore. now its just constant pain. is there any other things that could cause my jaw to just be in constant pain?
also, my bite is really screwed up too. its so uncomfortable to simply bite down. my front teeth touch and only one side of my back teeth can accually bite down all the way. how do they correct that? will i have to get braces again? or sets of retainers? any ideas?

The bottom right tooth is killing me though. The lower right side of my face is swollen and i can't eat anything hard still because of the pain nor can i open my mouth very well. The pain starts at the top of my jaw and goes down to the chin area. The tooth was impacted and resting against the nerves. Also, because of my very long roots being wrap around my nerves on the left side he did not pulled that tooth. Will the pain go away or do i have permanent nerve damage? I have two small children so i can not take the pain medicine prescribe to me.

I am getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow and I am going to be awake through the entire procedure. I know it isn't that big of a deal, but I can't help being afraid. Are there any suggestions of how to at least keep my mind focused on something else? Thanks!

I am an avid teeth bleacher. I bleach about once a week. I buy it from the dentist and it's expensive and powerful, so I only do it ever so often. But I have a gap between my two front teeth. I'd like to get this fixed. The rest of my teeth are perfect except for the gap. It completely interferes with the way I smile and has caused self esteem issues. I would like to get this fixed and have looked into bonding. I've read that if you bleach your teeth and having bonding on them, it will be two different colors. I don't want that. I also don't need a set of braces. What are some other options? I'd like to fix my gap and still be able to bleach my teeth.Thank you!

They are like tiny pockets in the very back of my mouth at the opening of my throat. . They fill with what I assume is plaque, maybe. Anyway it becomes like hard white sfuff. I can "pick" it out with a q-tip and whatever it is it smells really bad. I know this is sooo gross! Sorry! Anyway it only happens maybe once every couple of months but it is really nasty and I don't know what it is. I don't want to ask my doctor, too gross, but maybe someone knows. When the little white "clumps" (they are very small, like the size if a sharpened pencil led) start to push their way out of the"pocket" I can smell it on my breath or even when I just open my mouth. What the hell is this. Anyone??? I know this is sooo gross but please if anyone has the same thing or knows...I would really appreciate it!
