Ice breaks teeth. If you MUST chew ice, choose ice from an ice maker and let it sit around for a while before you start to crunch. Shaved ice is even better.
Chewing ice (or other foreign matter) in excess is for SOME reason associated with anemia. Ask your doctor about this and consider getting a blood test for anemia.

of course it can cause teeth pain like there is a thunder shock. i used to eat ice alot and it hurt very much i doubt that u had experienced it before! by the way, dont eat too much ice! its so pain i tell u first

My daughter use to love to eat Crushed Ice. When I took her to the Dentist, he asked her if she had been doing that and she replied yes. He said you need to stop!! It is breaking the Enamel from your teeth. She did Stop eating it.

very when i was 14 through like 16 i was addicted to ice i had it in my hands alllll the time the reason was because i had an iron deficiency but luckily i got over it because over the years it will damage your teeth unless your just sucking on it

I've heard that too cold and too hot things are bad for teeth, especially if they follow one after the other: you eat/drink something very hot and immediately afterwards - something cold.

It is, but a lot of people eat it anyway. It could chip your teeth or, if you wear braces, it could knock the brackets off or damage them.
