I am a 19 year old, these days what bothers me most is my teeth.
I have had 8 fillings done recently.Besides,my front teeth (2 lower ones) have rotten half way, probably beyond help.My dentist, has
asked me to take time and then get back to him.I guess the only way left is that these teeth have to be extracted.
I never really had any painful experiences, nor do i look bad, with these teeth. As my dentist rightly pointed,in my case, these teeth arent really visible when i talk. But it is just that i have practiced to speak that way,& sometimes these teeth could show up.It is not just people & the way i look that matters to me.People are simply so insensitive.
I've always had bad teeth, the teeth i have problem now were
extracted when i was younger. But in its place, these teeth are also bad.My dentist told me,this tells about my hygeine and points that i eat a lot of sweets. He's right, but i am a lot more cautious now.I cant afford my treatment now, what do i do?

It's good that you realize that the dentist is correct in his diagnosis of your poor hygiene and your sweet tooth. You "can't correct" the damage that's been done just by "changing your habits" now. First you have to have the damaged teeth restored, along with changing your dental habits in regard to hygiene and eating or drinking so many sweets. If you go finish your dental treatment plan and continue or start brushing, flossing and seeing your dentist for regular cleanings and check ups, you should be able to maintain your teeth. Talk to your dental office about a payment plan to finish your treatment plan, most have them available to patients. You need to get the teeth removed if that's what he advised. Either have them replace with a removable partial for the time being, some are very inexpensive, or a bridge which is very expensive and depends on the surrounding teeth as well, since they will be used as abutment teeth. But don't wait too long on the lower teeth and let them abscess causing you severe pain. Then restoring them will be much more expensive, probably needing root canals and crowns on both if you wait too long. Good luck and I hope I was of some help today.

If the bottom two teeth aren't giving you pain, you could wait to get them fixed. Maybe when you're a few years older, have a better job, possibly some insurance (which I don't know if it would help pay or not), you may be able to afford to get the work done. The appearance shouldn't be a big deal if they don't show that much, but it isn't something you want to spend the rest of your life hiding.

I would just wait and try to save some money each month to pay for it. I can sympathize with you about not being able to afford stuff like that...sometimes you have to prioritize and get by on what you have. Good luck.

You can't change the past. My suggestion to you is to stop consuming sweets or anything that has a lot of sugar. Your teeth, like all other parts of the body are fed with nutrients (and toxins) from the blood. The more sugar you consume, the more teeth decay.
