I have to admit, I've thought of doing the same thing (I'm 48)...yes, I remember those red tablets from school...they tasted kinda weird, but I remember liking them...(!!!)...my brother and I used to try and scare my Mom with it..('OMG! Mom! My mouth is bleeding'!!!!....it never worked...but we enjoyed attempting to scare her all the same!)...
Too bad schools aren't teaching some of the things we were taught years ago....and some of the old methods (like the red tablets) are still viable today, IMHO...
Kids are exposed to too much, too soon, too often....
I remember when I was a kid...a can of Playdough or a pie-pan, some dirt and leaves, and I could play by myself all day...I never remember saying "I'm bored" to my parents...(if I had, they would have said "then go clean your room if you need something to do"...!!!)..
Too bad kids can't take pleasure in the simple things....my best memories are not of what presents I got or things my folks gave me...but they're of places we went as a family, raking leaves together in the fall, flying kites at the school playground, chasing after the "ice cream man", riding my bike, things like that...
Ah...nostalgia!

That is great!! I think you should do that. Those tablets are called disclosing tablets and we still use them. The technique I was taught and I teach my patients is called the Modified Bass technique. Basically you want to hold your tooth brush at an angle to the tooth and make circular motions. Be sure to floss at least once a day and don't forget to brush the back of your teeth. A lot of my patients will have problems with build up behind their front lower teeth near the tongue. Be sure to brush on the back of your teeth. Don't just put all your efforts in your smile. I think you being proactive with your oral hygiene is wonderful:)

Yeah it does seem to work. I'm an adult and I accidently bought it cause I was shopping fast and just saw the word listerine. Yes it will turn anything on your teeth blue. You just take good care of your teeth. If you want to see the effects well drink some sugary soda, wait an hour and then try it. The results are kinda scary.

I remember the tablets, but I think ours turned our teeth purple.
I'm 16 and I use the Agent Cool Blue. It's a fantastic product. It tells you where to give extra attention when brushing. I recommend it for everyone.

I am an adult and have tried it. It works as it says, but I think that it is too think. Since I am used to mouthwash being watery it was just too much. I guess it would have to be thick to stick to your teeth. I use it about once a week to really see how well I am doing.

My nephew bought it and it doesn't seem to really work all that great. Just another marketing gimmick in my opinion.
