it seems like every time I see a commercial on tv with black people in it, they always seem to have a big gap in their front two teeth. Don't they know there have been big improvements in dental work these days? Like Michael Strahan of the Giants?

I have already tried cheaper methods and they were not very good.
I would like to try the Brite Smile method where the dentist uses a blue light but am curious to hear from people who have had any procedure.UK only please.

While having a couple of fillings replaced I was given an injection and it felt like the needle went through my ear, I raised my hand for the dentist to stop and she said that I just have a lot of muscle back there. That night when the numbness wore off I was in so much pain and my face was swollen. The pain was in my ear, jaw and the side of my neck. I returned the following morning to see another dentist, I was told that perhaps the other dentist hit a nerve hub and that the pain should go away in a few days and I was given a perscription for pain killers. Well it's about 3 weeks since that happened and I still have pain in my ear and jaw. I went to the doctor and I was referred to an ENT specialist but my appointment isn't until next month. What happened and what's going on??? Who do I see about this problem?

Obviously I know gums recede because of either brushing too hard or due to plaque and tartar buils up, and due to the aging process, but what I want know is why do they not grow back? Because for example, if you cut yourself your body reheals itself. And the same with bone loss to the teeth - why do we lose bone as we age or due to periodontal disease? If I were to break my arm for example the bone will re-heal itself. So why do the bones that hold teeth in place not reheal themselves?

It seems to be off white in color and I tried to use salt water to dislodge it if it was food, but nothing came out. So I wonder is that normal? Is it a possible infection? Is it too much salt in the salt water and change the color of the exposed gums? Help me please, thanks!

While I was having a root canal, I kept feeling like I was going to sneeze, but I never did. When I went home, I sneezed almost constantly for the rest of the day. I assume this has something to do with nerves and such. Anyone care to tell me exactly what the deal was? Was this normal?

I had a tooth removed, last friday, i have a deep dull pain still. ive been putting clove oil on it this seems to help it a bit, also ive been taking ibuprofen to reduce the swelling and take the edge of the pain..

When does the hole close up, i had one of the back teeth taken out, so its a big hole, also it is filled with a white 'gunk' , what is this..

Is it O.K to use warm salt water to clean mouth..?

ok so i was playing ultimate frisbee, and i dove for a frisbee and rolled on the ground. I actually caught it, but some how i managed to knee myself in the face, and i hit my front teeth pretty hard. Originally my 2 top ones hurt alot, but now it's just the left one. It's been 3 days and it still feels pretty weird and im not sure what to do.. what are some signs that the tooth is dead or is gonna fall out? it's not really that loose, but it feels really weird if i push back and forth on it.

But what changes when it's dead? so far all i know is that it changes color to a greyish color....does the sensitivity change? is it more loose? any information would be helpful here

Thanks for any help
