I have some more questions too.
1. How should I brush my teeth?
2. I am having trouble eating just about anything with these braces. What should I do?
3. How long does it generally take for the uncomfortableness to go away?

I'm 31 years old and for the first time in my life I got 3 amalgam fillings back in August of 2006. In September I started feeling sick with symptoms like post nasal drip and headaches, earaches. All of this I attributed to a Sinus/Ear infection which I have just started to finally get rid of. In addition to those symptoms I also get nauseated as soon as I started chewing my food, a burning/tingling sensation in my lips and cheeks, and sometimes I can feel this burning spasm like pain in different areas of my scalp/head more so at times when I'm lying down. I've had anxiety/panic attacks at night. I've always been a calm person and now at least once a week I have trouble sleeping and experience trouble breathing, dizziness, trembling, and weak heavy legs when the anxiety begins.

I ran across a site that talked about mercury poisoning from fillings and I'm wondering has this done something to my body to start making me ill. Anyone have any knowledge on this?

A small piece of my tooth came off. It hurts alot. I took two extra-strength Excedrin. It's after 11 P.M., so I can't call my dentist. Is there anything else I can do about my problem so I can sleep without pain or worry?

I have two caps on my two front teeth. I really need to get them bleached but don't want to spend the money (well, can't spend it right now) on having a dentist do it. Crest White Strips, etc., all say that I can't use it on caps, that they need to be replaced. Anyone know of another alternative? I doubt there is one, but I was just curious, thanks!

My teeth are starting to get yellowish... getting them whitened at the dentist seems pretty pricey (correct me if I'm wrong). Any OTC teeth whiteners that REALLY do work that I can use or if anyone has tried and worked for them? Please HELP!

I know people who just smear toothpaste on dry toothbrushes then brush their teeth afterward. Is there any advantage to wetting your brush before you put it in your mouth (i mean aside from the fact that you get more bubbles?)

Thanks. This has been bugging me for sometime now.

For 40 years I have lived with sinus infections that never go away. I have tried everything, and no one can tell me the cause. Is it possible for dental fillings to cause other problems ?

I’m going for a MRI soon & a person told me I have to wear a full helmet because of the metal fillings in my teeth. I’ve never heard of this before & don’t know how comfortable I’d be wearing a helmet. I’d rather go to the dentist & have the metal fillings taken out. Has anyone heard of this?

ok so i was playing ultimate frisbee, and i dove for a frisbee and rolled on the ground. I actually caught it, but some how i managed to knee myself in the face, and i hit my front teeth pretty hard. Originally my 2 top ones hurt alot, but now it's just the left one. It's been 2 days and it still feels pretty weird and im not sure what to do.. what are some signs that the tooth is dead or is gonna fall out? it's not really that loose, but it feels really weird if i push back and forth on it. if it is dead, what's going to happen? what are my options?

Thanks for any help
