Personally, I wouldn't use any non-dental products on my teeth, at least not medical products.

Baking soda is excellent for brushing your teeth, and because it is a white product, at least it won't hurt. I don't know about the peroxide.

Be aware, also, that all tooth whitening products are in effect scraping layers off your teeth. While this is permissible to some degree, it is best not to do it over and over or you will actually deteriorate your own teeth. It may look good for awhile but is destructive in the long run.

Personally, I use Arm & Hammer toothepaste with extra whitening. It's not drastic, it requires no other effort, and it's relatively healthy.

It does work! Just be careful not to swallow the product & always dilute the peroxide. It takes time like all whitening products & this combo is effective. Be careful not to brush aggresively as that in itself causes recession. All whitening products do NOT deteriorate layers of your teeth, some people just believe that because you can aquire some sensitivity that is short term. The baking soda is great because it is more like a pumice that helps remove stain, the peroxide is the active agent in all whitening products (the percentage varies as well as the type).

It is safe when done in moderation. The baking soda will not hurt you nor will the peroxide. I recommend a diluted combination by first soaking your brush with water peroxide then baking soda. This is a natural approach to brushing your teeth and will help to whiten, rid of any infection, retard gingivitis, and pyorrhea. The Crest white strips do work, but are full of chemicals. Be cautious when using them. Your teeth did lose their luster over night and will not brighten with the first application give it a few months of due diligence.

It's completey safe to use the products in your mouth just make sure the peroxide is no more than 35%, it's not going to be very effective honestly the cheapest way to lighten your smile is going to be Crest whitestrips. Be patient going any route other then professional whitening is going to take time.
