I am 23, and I am seriously considering having dental braces fitted. My teeth are not too bad my main problem being my two front teeth overlap. How long would I have to wear the brace if I was very careful not to break it.

I think I may have a rotten tooth? I take good care of my teeth, but the last molar (not wisdom tooth) on my right side has has a chip of enamal off in the corner of my mouth. now.. I was just checking with it again, and it crumbled. the outer edge is still okat except the one corner, but I am afraid the inside may be the worst? Oh, I will be arranging an appointment a.s.a.p., for this just occoured tonight. anything I should worry abot or do in the mean time.. I am not feeling any pain..? (I am 16?)

So tomarrow at 3pm I am getting surgery to remove 4 teeth (the last 2 on the bottom on both sides) The very last tooth on each side were so bad that they broke away and I eventually pulled them both out. However, I didn't get the roots out so they are going to have to cut my gums open to remove them, as well as removing the tooth right next them. :( I am VERY scared... I have severe mental illnesses which make it even worse. When I went to the dentist a few weeks ago and found all this out, it was the first time I had been to a dentist in over 5 years.

Okay, the tooth is specifically the "first molar, upper teeth."

I had a root canal done on this tooth more than ten years ago. Metal filling was put in to fill the hole and no crown was placed over it (for whatever reason; don't ask me now why since I can't remember back ten years, you animal). I chewed on for years in blissful ignorance.

Tonight, I was eating popcorn and, as usual when eating popcorn, I was chewing on the burnt kernels. I felt like I was biting into something really hard that I couldn't chew away at like the kernels and I just spit it out. I come to find out that a small piece of tooth chipped off. Size? It's about the size of three pinheads combined.

Now, none of the filling was included. A closer inspection with a mirror stuck into my mouth revealed the chipped piece of tooth came from the side of the tooth itself.

I had a root canal a year and a half ago and got a crown. Ive had braces for six months now and i have anchors on my back molars. Now my ortho wants to put anchors on two more of my bottom teeth to "double anchor" my teeth, but one of the teeth is a crown. Im a little worried...is it ok to cement a band around a crown???

Im not sure if I have a cavity. The tooth is sensitive, but at random times. It does not hurt when I eat hot, cold, or sugary items. It just hurts spontaneously for a couple seconds to a minute. I have looked in 2 mirrors to look at the tooth, and I do not see anything wrong, but I know that means nothing. Any ideas?
If it is a cavity, How do they fill it? Please be specific!

My wisdom teeth are coming in. The teeth in front of each wisdom tooth are bad. In fact one had to be pulled and the wisdom tooth came down in its place. Since the other three teeth are bad that I have left should I just have those removed and let my wisdom teeth come in their place?

My wisdom teeth pushed my teeth together, closing the gap between my two front teeth. I'm afraid my teeth might spread out again once they are pulled.

Has anyone ever went to a school of dentistry to have thier teeth looked at? I hear they are a lot cheaper then regular dentist. My wisdom teeth are coming in and one is coming in next to a broken tooth. So I'm wondering if they wondering if they would be cheaper with my insurance I have Delta Dental PPO and they are not listed as one of the prefered dentist. I'm not worried about paying to get the bad tooth removed it only cost me $24 with my insurance. What I'm looking for is a cheaper place to get my Wisdom Teeth pulled that's even if they need to pull them.
