I have lupus S.L.E and fibromyalgia. I have been told by a dentis that although lupus does not attack your teeth directly but in directly it can in the sence that you have less saliva that helps keep your mouth clean. I look after my teeth and always have but my teeth are so weak yesterday I was just biting my nail (bad habit) and my tooth broke. I am seeing the dentis today. But what want to know can the lupus or fibromyalgia make somebody's teeth this weak or why is else would my teeth be this week.

My three year old daughter's front tooth recently started turning blue. We have always taken good care of her teeth. She's been brushing and flossing since she got her first teeth when she was six months old. She hasn't fallen or hit her mouth in any way. So why is it turning blue?

I'm having terrible pain in my teeth on the right side upper and lower from clenching. Does anyone know of any ways to relieve the pain? I'm also having sinus pressure pain and that may be accentuating the pain. Those teeth hurt unbearably when eating hot things especially. My dentist wants to make me a mouth guard, but I can't afford that now. I'm having trouble sleeping now because of the pain.

I'm getting a bone graft to prepare for an implant on one of my front teeth on Wednesday, and my dentist prescribed me these:

Augmentin 500mg, Motrin 800mg, VicodinES, and Periogard mouth wash

two of them are just pain killers....how much would these all cost??? I have no idea. Do bone grafts really hurt that much? I'm usually good at dealing with pain in my mouth..

For an example, what kind of degrees do you have to have and how many years will it take you to earn those degrees. What are they yearly salarys. Between how many dollars can they earn specifically an hour, and what exactly do they do.

and is it common for your mouth to be sore? My gums aren't used to the pressure of the retainer and it sometimes slips out above my teeth when I eat or drink something. Is this common when you first get them on?

I was also told to keep them on when I eat so I get used to them more. Is this ok? And finally, do I have to clean my retainer after every meal or just at night?

Im only 12 and my wisdom teeth are coming in. I know they are wisdom because the dentist told me and my 12 year molars are in. Well, my gum by where the tooth is coming in on the top is all sore, and when anything touches it, I get pains in it. Is this normal???? The pain is not unbearable, but it is enough where it would get annoying. What can I do to get the pain to go away??? And if I am getting braces and having 4 teeth out already....could they take the wisom teeth out instead of the other perfectly fine teeth?

I really want braces!! I have a slight overbite and gaps in between my whole top layer of teeth. I have had my teeth next to my two front teeth bonded to make them longer so it doesn't look like i have buck teeth. Do you think that will affect this? What was wrong with your teeth in order to get braces? Do you think that they will recommend it?

Likes and dislikes? Which method is best and longest lasting? I'd prefer personal experiences over sending me a link for a tooth bleaching website. Thanks.

I had slight pain in one tooth, no prior problems. The dentist x-rayed the tooth and found nothing. Then examined me and told me I needed a root canal on the tooth in front of the tooth that was hurting.
Is this possible?
I am getting a 2nd opinion but I was wondering if anyone has been diagnosed with needing a root canal and decided not to get it?
