I know you said you have tried both of the things I was going to tell you to try but these are not magic but trust me I have lupus and use to suffer bad with mouth ulcers and found they work just as well if not better then what you can buy from the chemist and a lot less expensive as well. I use to get very large and stubborn mouth ulcers and this worked for me. but you need to do it a few times during the day. Give it time and it will help. Also keep away from acid types of foods and drinks like coke or tomato's oranges and foods like this.

if you're talking about a mouth ulcer, there isnt really anything you can do but let it heal. If it's extremely bad, there is a mouthwash that can be prescribed by a doctor the will numb it, but it doesnt cure it any faster. Go to a pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist, there may be an over the counter medication that will help. You can also use ambusol, or oragel to numb it, but none of these things actually cure it, they just take away the pain until it heals on its own. Drink alot of water, no juice oare acidy substances. suck on ice chips, that will help while you are waiting to be able to get to a store to get meds for it.

Abreva, Releev, and a few other OTC products work. You can save a lot of money and put some alcohol on a Q-tip and rub the surface as hard as you can stand it for a few seconds. HURTS LIKE HECK, but this is pretty much the same as the $10-20 products mentioned above. You might also want to get some OraJel or other benzocaine 20% product. Rub that one the sore first and after a couple of minutes, do the alcohol rub. You can also apply some benzocaine before a meal if it really hurts to eat.

You can try an ointment called Kenalogue if you can get it, but really there is nothing much you can do for a mouth ulcer.

Why don't you see your doctor? It may have been caused or made worse by bacterias... in the mouth... good guess that it is.
Don't take chances with home remedies. See your doctor. There are a number of causes AND conditions that can cause that as a SYMPTOM!
