I'm getting a bone graft to prepare for an implant on one of my front teeth on Wednesday, and my dentist prescribed me these:

Augmentin 500mg, Motrin 800mg, VicodinES, and Periogard mouth wash

two of them are just pain killers....how much would these all cost??? I have no idea. Do bone grafts really hurt that much? I'm usually good at dealing with pain in my mouth..

Call a Pharmacist and give he or she the same information. The can give you actual costs.
Check Costco or Sams or Walmart for best prices.

Good luck on your surgery.

You can also go to any number of on-line pharmacies for quotes on Rx costs.

As far as pain following your procedure, that's a hard one to answer. If you have the tooth NOW and it will be removed and then the grafting material placed, you will actually feel better than if you just had an extraction. If the tooth has been missing for a while and you are getting a "ridge augmentation," that would involve making a flap (incision and sutures) and that could be pretty sore for a couple of days.

simple answer here... for the augmentin I think it is on average $40-60 Motrin is less than $25 Vicodin costs me $35 and the mouthwash is roughly $10 so about $120 for everything should be a good guesstimate

Most likely you will get generic Vicodin.( Hydrocodone) Augmentin is an antibiotic and it may make you have diarrhea. So beware. The vicodin is about 12 bucks for 20 pills. Antibiotics can be expensive but it all should cost you under 60 bucks.

You can call the local pharmacy and they can give you a quote on the meds. The motrin if it's to expensive you can just use regular ibuprofen Over the counter. If you have the money you should go ahead and get it all it's better to be safe than sorry. Augmentin is only going to be a couple of bucks! Good luck.

The Augementin is an antibiotic that the dentist wants to use to allay infection. Motrin you can buy off the shelf and is for milder pain, the VicodinES is for tougher pain. I don't know how much they will cost. It will depend upon your Rx program. I wish you good luck. I have had many root canals and crowns, but never and implant.

I work in a pharmacy. It depends if you have insurance or not first of all. As far as just cash price it varies from store to store. Augmentin has a generic but even that is costly. The vicodin and motrin are not alot of money, they both have generics and so does the mouthwash. If you call your local pharmacy you can tell them what you have been perscribed and they can tell you the cash price!
