Well i'm not a dentist, i'm a medical student, but i think any layman can tell you that you sound like you have a tooth cavity where the bacteria have spread down to the nerves in the root of the tooth. the gums could also be infected.
Take a strong painkiller and rinse your mouth with warm water and salt, but these are temporary measures. If you have a cavity there is no home treatment for that, you must see a dentist. Is there a public dental clinic where you live? Try to look for one. Good Luck

You really need to see the dentist because it will only get worse. You can't just go around with a toothache forever. Most people's dental insurance is not that great, so you will just have to pay. The dentist will probably allow you to set up a payment plan. Strange though, you can seem to be able to afford a computer and to have an ISP (unless you are sitting in the library with a throbbing tooth), so I imagine you can squeak out the money for your tooth.

You need to go see a dentist. There are some discount dental programs you can join. Some dentists also offer payment schedules (that you pay so much a month until it's paid off). Check the local phone book, call and ask. However, most dentists don't take somebody new on the same day, so, do that today because it may take a few days or more to get to see the dentist who will work with you on payment.

I know exactly how you feel...I have been there on more than one occassion. Do you have medical insurance? If so, go see a doctor. Chances are, your tooth is infected. The Dr. will give you an antibiotic and a pain killer.
If you don't have med. insurance. Take two tylenol and two ibuprofen or motrin...this is just as strong as a tylenol 3 minus the codeine.
as for a numbing agent...red cross is the best...but it tastes like crap.
I also alterate between ice and heat on the side of my face that hurts. Just depends on what works for you.
Good luck and I totally feel for you!! :) A toothache is the worst pain.

The natural way to take the pain away is to place a tea bag in the area that is causing the most pain and bite down the bag. The caffine in the tea is suppose to relieve the pain. The other way to go is with adult ambesol and a shot of tequilla. until you can get to the denist and have them pull it out. It sounds like you might have an absess tooth. That is painful. Good luck !!!

If you live in a city that has a teaching hospital, with a dental school, they will treat you regardless of your ability to pay. If that is not an option, call a dentist in your city and explain your condition. There are people with heart, that will work out a payment plan. Do not put it off,an infection is serious. You need treatment, not something to mask the pain.Good luck.

Buy St. Joseph's aspirin and put it against the tooth - it will alleviate the pain. But, if you have a college near you with a school of dentistry, they will fix it for little to no money.
