They're bits of pus that collect in the pockets that are on your tonsils. They're normal in small amounts. The tonsils are there to catch the bad stuff and fight it off before it causes you to get sick - they didn't know this years ago so they used to yank 'em out all the time. Now they don't do that unless the person has horrible chronic tonsillitis. If you have a lot of those little things, check with your doc to rule out an infection. Other than that, stop sniffin' em silly! lol

I don't know exactly what they are called, but I do know that they are not sinus drainage or strep. I had them about 10 years ago and went to the doctor. Sure enough within the week had my tonsils removed. It does have something to do with them, I'm not sure if it is infection or what. You need to make a appt. and have em taken out. I had my tonsils removed very painful but worth it. thats the only way your going to fix this problem you have. good luck. eat lots of jello not icecream.

omg!!! i thought i was the only one...i dunno what they are but i hate it, i wish whatever it was it would go away...to better explain this to others i'll put it this way...it is not sinus drainage, it is in a harder form like a chunk of plaque....and it can make your breath smell horrible and it smells like something died...it only happens every once in a while...

THIS USED TO HAPPEN TO ME A LOT, WHEN THIS HAPPENS, IT MEANS YOU HAVE "TONSILITUS" (INFECTION OF THE TONSILS). GET THEM REMOVED ASAP. IT WILL KEEP HAPPENING IF YOU DON'T! IT TASTES & SMELLS BAD & IT'S VERY SORE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. GET A TONSILECTOMY. (GET THE TONSILS REMOVED) THAT'S WHAT I HAD TO DO. IT DIDN'T HURT ME. THEY PUT ME TO SLEEP, TOOK THEM OUT, THEN GAVE ME GOOD MEDICINE THAT HELPED OUT A LOT!! (LIQUID CODINE) I COULDN'T FEEL IT!

Oh yeah, My ex-husband had them bad... He called them puss pockets. Dude, your gonna need your tonsils removed. Go see your doctor ASAP..... Keep me posted!
