I had a root canal a year and a half ago and got a crown. Ive had braces for six months now and i have anchors on my back molars. Now my ortho wants to put anchors on two more of my bottom teeth to "double anchor" my teeth, but one of the teeth is a crown. Im a little worried...is it ok to cement a band around a crown???

There is no reason in the world not to put a band on a crowned tooth. Removing the band would be a minimal risk to breaking the crown. Sorry, Arkygirl, but you just don't understand how it is done.

It doesn't sound good to me. When you get your braces off couldn't he pull your crown off while trying to remove the band. I had braces for two and a half years and my teeth are very sensitive and just thinking about it makes my teeth hurt. Good Luck!!
