gah! eat VERY soft foods chica! I am very very sensitive, so they are killer for me!!! (I doubt your as sensitive as I am!!!) good luck, and remeber to brush like crazy, you don't want brown spots when you get them off after paying so much to get em straight!!!

I wonder if you are under or over 18yrs old. If you are under, I feel sorry for you, as you do not know, obviously, exactly what you are getting yourself into. Braces, actually move and change the facial structure. They push the frame of the nose back in to the face. You would be far better off leaving it until your body has completely finished growing.

That depends on a lot of things, like how old you are, how closely packed or twisted your teeth are, and what method the orthodontist uses to correct your teeth.
For example, I was 33, had severely packed and twisted teeth, and had to get unyielding metal braces with spacers wedged between. It was rather painful, but the results are excellent. Everyone tells me how nice my smile is.

braces are absolutely awesome! I had them and yes they do hurt but look on the bright side: you will have the prettiest teeth around when they come off! Good Luck!

They really are not bad. When the dentist moves them the hurt the first day but not bad. It is worth all the hassle in the end.

They do kinda hurt but not at first after a little while, and when they tighten them, good luck.
