Its been about 4 days since I had them pulled...and I have been brushing them just not too far back to avoid bumpin the stitches/where they cut... Is there a good technique to brush them-rinse them with wash, something that makes them all clean? I have been using salt water to rinse..

I realize that dental work is very expensive, but so is any other type of medicine. And most dental problems could have been prevented with regular checkups and good home care. I hear people everyday blame their dental problems on all sorts of things. Most of the time, a really great dentist or assistant can see through these excuses. Regardless of the reason though, why do you think that a dentist should do your work for free? (If you havent asked one to, this isn't directed at you) Do you not realize that before you, there were about 100 other people asking the same thing? And if you are claiming that your dental problems are the result of "no enamel", "my parents never took me to the dentist when I was a kid" and other similar reasons, that the dentist is not stupid, he knows that you haven't been doing what you needed to take care of your teeth. I am a dental assistant and the money that my dentist makes pays my salary, so no we cant take in every "free" case we are asked to.If a dentist constantly did this, how is he suppose to pay his staff? They are normal people just like you, who have bills to pay, kids to feed, and a mortgage. Why is it that there are a lot of people looking for free dental care?

I live in the Chicago suburbs, the dentists here mostly are not compassionate and do not offer help to poor or indigent people.I even have medicaid and cant find a Dentist to do the work from a root canal i had to fight for. I cant get a crown. The information to go to Dental schools is false. teh Univ of Chicago Dental school wanted $865.00 for a molar crown. That was as much as ANY DENTIST IN THE WHOLE CHICAGO AREA.
We cannot take care of our own dental issues , and it seems that dentists are in a monopoly with services, price and wont break away to help others who cant afford regular services.

I ask you to contact me if you are a dentist or make crowns.
Thank you

Hi there. I have had a dramatic plunge in my health recently and my doctor has diagnosed me on separate occasions with a sinus infection, a throat infection, and a chest infection. When he finally put me on antibiotics I noticed a few of my teeth went numb and I realised that it wasn’t that they were numb is was that they just weren’t hurting any more. While I got better very quickly, before the course of antibiotics ran out the symptoms all returned again. This time I was aware of my teeth hurting. Is it possible that this infection in my teeth could have caused all the other symptoms in my body?
Rather then going back to my doctor again and almost single handedly put his kids through private school with the charges, I’ve made an appointment with my dentist for next week. More money I know, but do you think it could really be whats wrong with me?

It's been 8 weeks and the hole is still very deep. I am still getting loads of food debris in it and I am forced to pick it out with those floss pickers because it won't come out with a water syringe (that's how packed the food gets). Should I let the food pile up and risk getting another infection or continue trying to get the food out? The only thing I am worried about is that the whole won't close up if I continue to do this.
