It doesn't hurt now, but it will be sore in a few days. Give it some time to get used to.

Your mouth will be sore, during the first week or two when getting your braces. I would suggest for you to eat soup, applesauce, food that wont stick to your brackets. I had braces for 3 years so I know the pain.

Take a pain killer like ibuprofen now and continue every 4-6 hours for the next week or so. They we begin to get very sore in the next few days, and the ibuprofen will help the swelling and pain.

You'll get used to it. I don't have braces anymore but when I did my teeth were so sore and it hurt to eat at first but eventually they won't feel as bad. Just eat softer foods that don't need much chewing.

Tell your parents to call your orthodontist and go back in and have them recheck the positioning of your bottom and top teeth. ask for help from the Dr, not just the technician. DO this as soon as possible.

If they don't hurt now, they will soon, but it's worth it in the end. Try mashed potatoes and macaroni and pudding and things like that when you've had them tightened and you're mouth is stiff. hang in there, and good luck.

You can't. You'll just have to get used to it or have them loosen it up or something. You couldn't IMAGINE the pain & grossness I endured in jr. high & high w/mine!
