canal is done and im just waiting for the crown, but the area around the tooth is painful and that side of my face is painful too. and my head is aching. what do you think?

root canals are very painful and do hurt but if it is unbearable call your dentist to see if you can come in and have him take a look if its infected he should of given you an antibiotic before starting any of this

More information is needed. How long ago was the root canal done? Is the tooth sensitive to hot or cold? Does it hurt to chew on it? Does it ever wake you up at night? Either way, discuss this pain with your dentist and see what they have to say.

If you think it is infected go to the dentist for an antibiotic, rinse with a salt water solution a couple of times a day. Root canals aren't as scary as they sound, thanks to numbing and pain medication.
When I had mine I just took it easy for a few days, ate soft foods and had great pain meds.

root canals are bullshit...the tooth will eventually decay away anyhow because the tooth is dead...
there will be some pain and swelling...be sure to take your meds prescribed by your dentist...the antibiotic will keep away the infection. if its infected you'll need to treat the infection first before it spreads to another tooth

The pain is natural for the amount of work being done. Try taking some Tylenol for the pain.

if it was just done there will be some discomfort, but if it's been a few days , better go back to the denist
