Do they just throw them away, or do they give them to some sort of facility that makes dentures or something.

The bottom of my teeth, where they meet my gums, look gray. Almost like something is stuck in my gums but nothing is there. Does anyone know what this could be?

My dentist says he see evidence that I grind my teeth and that if we do nothing - there is risk I could break off part or all of some top teeth. So he recommends a "nightguard" - a thing that looks kind of like a boxer's mouthguard. The cost? About $800 after they made a cast of my teeth and mold the thing. (Yow!) Walking through the local grocery store drugs isle I saw they sell generic nightguards for just 25 bucks. My question: is a custom made $800 nightguard really going to do me much more good than the $25 one from Safeway??

It is designed for kids. It is a red mouthwash and the spots that you missed brushing are highlighted. I saw a commercial on TV just recently but forget the name of it. It is kinda like the stuff the denist gives kids sometimes. Does anyone know what company makes it and where to buy it? Thanks

Help! I had braces three years ago and lost my retainer about two weeks ago! I have been hoping it shows up, but can't find it anywhere! I'm afraid my teeth will move, but I am even more scared to tell my mom because I know she'll kill me! She always tells me that retainers cost $300 to replace. Is that true? I only have braces on the top so I only have one retainer. Is it really that much? Please help, thanks.

I have a question, my gums bled when brushing my teeth. I do not have plaque etc but I have been told time and time again that i brush my teeth too hard. My last dentist said she had nothing to remove, not even at the back. I asked about my receeding gums at the bottom front of my teeth, she said that i simply have been waring them away.

My next dentist said that my gums bleed easily as their is no plaque etc. he suggested i brush my teeth with a softer brush and change my technique, after asking me if I was in good health!!!

I have changed my brush for a softer one and brush a lot more carefully now so my gums do not bleed.

I cannot believe the answer was that simple, does anyone know if careful brushing will help to strenghten my gums so they will not bleed in the future when I have my teeth cleaned on a routine check?

Thanks

I had braces as a teenager, but I failed to wear my retainer as much as I should have. Now I'm in my 20's and all my teeth as straight except for the front two which, as well as being quite large, protrude somewhat. I get very embarrassed about them and I would love to have them fixed, but I'm not sure I can afford it. Does anyone know how much it might cost?

i'm looking for a reknown all natural FLUORIDE-FREE tooth paste, preferrably not too expensive. also, if it has whitening ability then that's a plus--or if you know of a reliable, safe and natural way to remove stains from the teeth then please fill me in. (once upon a time i was a heavy smoker :P)

thanks!

how much will braces cost when i'm under my dad's insurance?

my parents think that getting braces is only a waste of money so i'm deciding on raising the money myself because i'd rather get my braces during my teenage years than getting it when i'm an adult.

do you pay monthly? if so then how much will you pay each month? or do you pay it before or after your teeth are straight?
