Dental - August 2006

A few years ago, I had a badly cracked an infected tooth. I went to have it fixed and they crowned the wrong tooth, which trapped infection inside. I had to go back and they had to do a root canal by drilling a hole in the crown, then filling it. I have had major sensitivities with this tooth now, and I noticed that my gums around it are black! Tell me this isn't as bad as it seems....HELP!

I just had 6 teeth removed today. (4 wisdom + 2 back teeth) It was such a breeze was in and out in no time... bled for a little while, then i took the gauze out and was fine... but i'm such a nicotine addict I waited about 6 hours after surgery and smoked. not full fledged cheeks caving in, but more like just takin baby puffs. but then i got worse, i smoked probably 3 more times this evening in the 'baby puffs' manner.... They say not to smoke, but they're aren't a hopeless addict like I am! Now I'm really worried about dry socket.... And I've been drinkin a lot of water because i feel really dehydrated, I hope that doesn't wash the clots right on out... Oh please help someone!

I'm pretty atractive but I have a gap in my front teeth. It bothered me alot when I was in grade school. But I'm beginning to accept it. I wanted to get braces but my husband says i shouldn't, but part of me still want braces cuz I hate it when people stare at my mouth when I speak. Most people don't seem to care but I was wondering what people really think

Did you have any teeth taken out, my brother had braces and some teeth atken out from the back of his mouth. This made his head a bit thinner while he was still growing. l saw a docco about this too, were people were not happy how there jaw had morphed.
Any one experience or know some one like this.

I have to get braces and want what is best and the least noticeable. I cant get invisiline so what about white brackets? Do those work good. What about when you eat, does food show up a lot in them? I could try getting the smaller brackets instead. They are 60% (dont stain) and only 40% metal? What do you think looks better???

I had my wisdom teeth removed two weeks ago. The swelling has gone away and i'm left with four gaping holes. Food is constantly getting stuck in there. Is that a dry socket?

I don't know what happened, but for some reason that tooth has been in pain for a week. It only happens with I bite down on it, and sometimes it feels a little bit numb. I examined the tooth and I didn't find any cavities or decay that I could tell. What should I do?
