I had 4 taken out.

2 were impacted. Those hurt the most later. During the actual dental surgery, there is some pain but it's not bad. It's later on that hurts the most.

I didn't have any outside bruises. There was some swelling. It took about 1-2 days to get back to something normal.

I had one of my wisdom teeth removed. it was my upper right one it had broke almost all the way down to the gum. Surprisingly it did not hurt when they removed it or the next day. there was no swelling or bruising, but there was a huge nasty hole where the tooth had been. It also bled for quite sometime.

I had 8 teeth taken out at one time. 4 of them were wisdom teeth. They were not impacted. They knocked me out, and it didn't hurt at all. They gave me some vikaden (sp?), but I never used it. I used plain old aspirin instead and it did the trick.

I had all four of mine removed at the same time. Two were impacted. I was on a liquid diet for about a week but other than that it went smoothly.

i havent, but my boyfriend just got his out 2 weeks ago. his didnt heel very quickly so he couldnt eat solid foods for a week.... but this isnt normal. usually the pain only lasts a couple days. and to keep the swelling down you have to ice it for the first couple days. i dont know of anyone who got bruises. but everyone i do know who got them out says its not a good experience. good luck!

I had all 4 out...it wasn't that bad. The worst thing for me was I took the pain killer on an empty stomach and it made me VERY sick....
