Drink lots of water. Dry mouth can certainly cause bad breath. If you use mouthwash, use one that does not dry out your mouth, because ones that do can actually make your bad breath worse. Also, brush your teeth and floss them daily. Make sure you brush your tongue and the roof of your mouth, as well.
If bad breath continues, you could have an abscess on your tonsils or other health problems. See a doctor, as this could be serious.

Brush thorougly 2-3 times a day for approx. 2 minutes(preferably with an electric toothbrush)
Use an antibacterial mouthwash (I love Listerine, even though it burns)
Floss at least every other day
Use a tongue scraper. If all else fails, this may make a difference.
I agree with the person who said to drink water. This does make a difference. Also, for temporary relief, try breath strips rather than gum (gum can stir up stomach acids, which can intensify bad breath. Sugary gum also makes bad breath worse). Listerine strips kill germs, dissolve quickly, and last a little while, too.
Good luck with your halitosis!

What I have recently been told by a dentist is that bad breath can be stemmed from a lot of various things. Also, it could be gingivitis. Make sure to floss in between teeth at least twice a day or after meals, because food can get down in your gums and rot, which can trigger bad breath. If mouthwash doesn't work, try breathrx. You can get a starter package for like $10 at major drugstores (walgreens, eckerd, cvs, etc.). It includes toothpaste, mouthwash and tongue spray w/tongue scrapers.

It depends on what is it caused by.
If you're over 20-23 you might be not producing as much saliva anymore. Drink little sips of water often.
If you have dental problems - have them resolved. You cannot cover that up.
It is also possible to have throat infection that can cause bad breath. Some deseases of dygestive system can cause bad breath. If simple methods don't get you anywhere - talk to your doctor.
If you like drinking milk or sugary drinks - rinse off your mouth after this. Bacteria might be having a party on on what is left over in your mouth.

Hi,
How you can get rid of bad breadth may be linked to what is the cause of your bad breadth.
In some instances, bad breadth is a symptom that something is not very right in your body and that something is breaking down and not functioning well.
In some cases, bad breadth is due to the fact that you did not clean your colon. When you eat alot of junk, there is a mucus lying in your colon which will slowly spread all the way up to your mouth.. such that you will find a layer of white mucus in your tongue. When this happens, your mouth will smell...
The only way to get rid of this smell is not to clean the tongue but rather to detox your colon.
Overall, I would suggest you detox both your colon and your body. Once your body is healthy, it should not give up signals of poor health like bad breath.
Good luck! ;)

Have your teeth cleaned by a professional at least once a year. Twice a year if you tend to build up plaque. Also, FLOSS every night before you go to bed. This is as important as brushing!
