i'm looking for a reknown all natural FLUORIDE-FREE tooth paste, preferrably not too expensive. also, if it has whitening ability then that's a plus--or if you know of a reliable, safe and natural way to remove stains from the teeth then please fill me in. (once upon a time i was a heavy smoker :P)
thanks!

by the way i tried brushing with hydrogen peroxide for a while. pretty good stuff but it doesn't help too much with removing stains or aiding in bad breath :p

Baking soda is good as it has an abrasive texture to it. A 1:8 ratio of hydrogen peroxide and water is another alternative I used it for a while. Works great but kinda messy and a pain in the ***.

First of all, the net is good to find stuff you need. Secondly, baking soda is a start to getting your teeth whiter. It does taste a bit nasty, like it's gritty and salty, but it will clean your teeth and it's cheap!
I read somewhere that toothpaste is not necessary to get your teeth clean. It just makes the process more pleasant. It's the brushing that does it! Don't forget to floss! That's the key to cavity free teeth!
Hope this helps!

Baking soda will work wonders. Brush your teeth with baking soda and rinse with water. Then rinse again with peroxide. Rinse again with water, you would be amazed how white your teeth will become.

Kingfisher toothpaste is a good natural one. (comes with flouride varieties and non-flouride ones). Haven't seen a tooth whitening variety but try the methods above after you've brushed your teeth.

baking soda with a little water mixed in to make a paste... if you don't like the taste you can always add a little mint or vanilla food flavoring ( or any food flavoring)you can buy anywhere in the baking aisle

baking soda (bicarbonate of soda), will remove stains
try clynomol, Its called a smokers toothpaste but great if you drink loads of tea and coffee/red wine.
My mum uses smokers tooth powder, you can use it on its own or dip your brush in it on top of your own toothpaste
