I'm scheduled to have a lot of dental work done all at once with oral sedation. I know a lot of people have had I.V. sedation during oral surgery, but has anyone had oral sedation for oral surgery and regular dentistry all at once? I have a formal consultation with my dentist next week, but I was wondering if anyone has had experience with oral sedation.

Im an adult with braces. Im wondering how many people have experienced relapse / movement after they got their braces off. Is it very common? Im also wondering how often after having braces do you have to wear a retainer. Is it daily........and is it a pretty definite way to prevent relapse? Thanks

I've heard of using ammonia, clove oil and a couple other things, but they don't work.

Please do NOT mention going to a dentist in your reply. I'd rather be in pain for the rest of my life and lose every single tooth in my mouth than sit in a dentist's chair again.

A friend is in dire need of a root canal and has no insurance. She wants to get something done ASAP, but naturally wants good work done for as little money as possible. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

My daughter is 14 and definitely needs braces for her upper teeth. The orthodontist says she also has a cross bite and needs them on her lower teeth too. I tend to think it's a way to get another grand or so out of us. I need to make this decision along with her dad who I'm divorced from so any specific examples would be great so I can argue against it. I can't afford it if she doesnt need it.
