Hi there, well 2 days ago I had an upper wisdom tooth extracted at the dentist, it was just with a local and seemed to be over pretty quickly. I went home and bled for about 10 hours, yesterday there was a bit of blood, today none I think, this is day 3... I am quite swollen and sore and tender. Mostly TERRIFIED about a dry socket, and the fact that I am going on holiday in 4 more days. I have been getting mixed messages reading other posts on this.
1. Some posts say 3 days all good no risk of dry socket, others say a dry socket can happen up to 5 weeks?
2. Recovery, some say one day others say one month? I know that everybody is different but for a simple upper extraction what am I looking at?
Thanks heaps.

Hi, I've heard that you need to be a certain age (whenever your bones stop growing) to get veneers. If you're a dentist, can you tell me what age would be good to get them? Is 16 ok? Thanks

I am in a different country right now and when I come back to America, 4 days after, I'm getting braces, and after a week after I'm getting hurbsts. Hurbsts is this metal thing in your mouth, that pulls your bottom teeth forward, because of my overbite. It hurts sometimes, the hurbsts, I know because there are these to metal things at the end, that give you canker sours. But does it hurt when you put it on. Some of my friends that have braces say , you just feel a couple of twists and turns, but some other of my friends, say it really hurts, does it? And does it hurt when you take it off?

I would love to get veneers for my teeth, but the cost is a real concern, especially since I've read that veneers may need to be replaced after as little as 5 years. Would bonding be a good alternative? Can it make my teeth look as nice or at least somewhat similiar to what veneers could?
