i think i have tooth decay or gum disease, what is the best cure to save my teeth and how do i repair the damaged teeth

Apparently if you melt the metal and try to turn a profit on that, you'll only get about a quarter-size amount of metal! So, what are the orthodontists charging for?

Decades ago, my dentist recommended POULTICE PADS for gum sores. They were sold OTC and looked like tiny tea bags. Anyone know if these are available anywhere? Thanks.

Is it necessary to have heavy duty teeth cleaning frequently and have the dentist divide the work into quadrants so you have to return again and again?

my gums only bleed in the morning when i wake up, sometimes even before i start brushing they will spontaneously bleed....the rest of the day when i brush or floss there is no bleeding....i am very meticulous about my oral hygeine....i need some expert opinion

I am a 41 year-old otherwise healthy female in need of urgent dental care assistance.

I was recently told by my dentist that the cost of repairing my teeth would be about $47.000. This includes five implants and twenty dental units. I am a self-employed single parent. All of the dental plans I have looked into, indicate a cap of around $1000 - $1500 per year. This means that even if I were to obtain dental insurance, it would only cover about 3% of the total cost. I do not qualify for any kind of state or federal aid as I make enough money to live on. However, I cannot make enough to pay for this treatment.

Before visiting my current dentist, I paid almost $30.000 to another dentist whose work was so bad almost everything he made broke within a year. I trust my current dentist's diagnosis and treatment plan. I just do not have the money to pay for it.

Does anyone know of organizations or individual(s) who could help?

Besides word of mouth referrals? An independent agency or group that lists and ranks local dentists? I travel all the time for work and don't know anyone locally most of the time.

I was told by my dentist they have to come out... I think it's a greed issue. As far as I know they've been there a long time and they haven't effected my straight teeth. He even commented how "nice" my teeth are, btu I don't know if they say that to everyone. In fact when I was little I had a gap and that gap was long gone before high school. I see it as my extra teeth, for when I get old. I asked, if I want to keep them, how do I make sure I brush them properly? He said "you can't, they have to come out" HUH! He actually said he can't see that far back! Isn't that his job? He's go the mirror do hickys, lighting and x rays why won't he be able too? That visit cost me 300$ and he didn't even do anything! Grrr. Is this normal? Do I HAVE to get my wisdom teeth taken out if they seem to have made their own space back there? When do wisedom teeth grow in?

They are usually very small some times bigger and smell Awful (like bad breath) Is that plaque? From your teeth that gets stuck in the back of your throat? I can get one of these lumps to come up after brushing the back of my tongue. I don't see anything when I look and I've mentioned it during my check up with a doc who wasn't at all concerned. it would make since if it were plaque. I still hae my tonsels, is that their funtion to keep plaque out of my system? I've hear of people having plaque build up in their vessels. I'm not sure if that's the same plaque we find on our teeth?

Lately I have developed a major tooth ache and I dont have any cloves or garlic for a home remedy and am broke. Does anyone know if there is something else that will make the pain stop. PLEASE I HAVENT SLEPT 2 DAYS .... i also quit smoking a week ago could this be causing it?

After 27 yrs of a bad marriage , raising 3 children , and now my nephew , no skills other than caregiver , i am in need of dental care , i have had half my teeth removed ,over the years , but the rest need to come out and dentures placed in , it affects my self esteem , and keeps me from the public , i am very embarressed and self conscious ., please help me , i live in Arkansas and have found several places for reduced fee's but i cannot even afford those fee's .
