when i had braces a FEW decades ago- i went once a month
my kids went once a month except a time or two when they needed follow up visits for special things

I have braces currently, and I have to go every 6 weeks, that is the normal scenario with all orthodontists unless they have to do something special or are going on vacation before the next 6 weeks come up

every six weeks. to get them tightend and all that.
