Is the tooth that needs to be removed connected to the bridge? It doesn't sound like it. If it isn't connected, then it will not disturb your bridge. If it is the last tooth in the bridge then you will need a new bridge because the abutment, anchor tooth will be removed and the bridge will need to be cut. The bridge will need to be remade to include the tooth behind the one extracted, so it would most likely turn into an 8 unit bridge instead of 6, that is a very long span and may either need to have extra abutment teeth, or you may need to look into another option that will be more sturdy.

Please add more information. Is this a "bridge" a fixed bridge or a removeable partial denture? How many other teeth are missing and where? Is the bridge on your upper arch or lower arch? Don't forget to tell us what you have in the other arch. How old are you? How many years have you had the bridge? What kind of condition is your bone in? You still can't get a good answer on-line without someone seeing your teeth, but at least this would be enough to try to give an intelligent answer.

I know that Yahoo! will not let me answer, because they will say that I already answered this question, but maybe another dentist will see your additional information and try to help.

Actually your dentist may need to reconfigure your bridge and make an extension or a fill in for that missing tooth..that is what happen to me and I had to have a tooth pulled so my dentist took my original bridge and just fixed and it fits better than the old bridge. I wish you lived here I would recommend him because he is awesome.
