My dentist has bad breath too, he must eat a giant onion burger before my appointment.

How funny. Truly, though, doctors and dentists work long hours. Bad breath is many times caused by what or what is not in the stomach, not necessarily the mouth. So, not freshening up and taking a snack break could be the reason. The dentists I have gone to however, in recent years now wear masks, keeping out germs and BAD BREATH, lol.
God bless.

yea the dentist do but the dental hygentist doesn't. my dentist is my sister in law well she cleans my teeth and the dentist have to wear mask b/c it is just nasty if they don't they are spreeding around germs! and a lot of times people don't show for an appointment. like one day my sister in law called for me to help and the whole day was full and by the end of the day like half of them cancled!

I've known many with bad breath and I must apologise on their behalf.
Several of my colleagues have bad breath - indeed , once I asked one if the H. in her name stood for halitosis - she didn't get the message ,or if she did she didn't tell me 'cos she never spoke to me again!!!
Personally, I try to stay at such a distance that patients can't smell my breath - not that I have bad breath but rather so I can't smell their's.
The other thing is patient's who have heavy garlic lunches or curries - dreadful. For their thoughtlessness they just get me at a further distance - you judge for yourself whether they get better or worse treatment.

Most don't...you need to see someone else. But I'm sure having a mask on all day and breathing thru their mouths just to get enough air might have something to do with it!

think about it??? How close do you ever really come to other people during the course of the day???? We never really get that close to other people so Im sure if you got as close to others as you do when you go to the dentist, than you would see all of the discusting, smelly, dirty mouths a lot of people have:(

I would think it's because they work all day without talking much because they're concentrating on your mouth.

If you sit quietly even for a few hours, your breath worsens if you haven't talked because the saliva isn't moving around and flushing the nasties out.

sucks for you to have to go to a dentist with nasty breath. Maybe you should go anymore if they can't even take care of their own teeth!

subliminal messaging, they want everyone to emulate their bad breath and not brush their teeth...that way the dentist can make loads of cash
