Raul,
Just keep up on the good oral hygiene. Brush 2X a day and when you do do it for a good two minutes. Then rinse with Crest mouth rinse, it has no alcohol but kills germs. See your dentist too, they clean the icky stuff we can't see out of there. Thats a good thing. :) Sometimes bad breath can be a signal for other stuff too, like gum problems, that a dentist can help with too. Good luck.

Yes, they can tell.. and a good way to find out if you have bad breath is to lick the inside of your wrist - wait a few seconds and then smell it. You will know then.

Now, EVERYBODY has bad breath in the morning.. and if they do not, then they wake up early to drink some water or brush their teeth before you can smell their breath. Yes, if you do not brush your teeth before you sleep and AFTER you eat - then all that bacteria from whatever you ate (worst culprits are milk, peanut butter and any good carbohydrate - you know what I mean).. they stay in your mouth all night long if you do not brush and floss well before you sleep and it gets really gross for the morning wake up call.

There is a possibility that the acid in your stomach gets you bad breath.. and that does happen - but to only about 25% of the population.. so check out the link below..

Best answer is to brush and floss well AND AND AND!.. invest in a great tongue scraper.. to get rid of the bacteria that lies on your tongue all day long - and all night.. If you need an analogy to understand what I mean.. take this.. 'you take your normal toothbrush to your tongue and brush all over then spit... thinking that this will rid of all the gunk on your tongue..'

ahhh.. no. All that is doing is the equivalent to taking a broom on a dusty dirty floor and whish/washing it along the floor and the dust flies all over the room; to eventually fall again onto the floor, rather than into the dust bin (aka garbage)...

How to work the tongue scraper is that you start at the back of the tongue, and you scrape towards the mouth.. then you spit... and all that yucky crap you do not want sitting in your mouth will go down the drain.. ewww!!! But, this will make your mouth feel great.. trust me.

After about four days and nights doing this.. brush/floss/scrape - you will feel better.. as long as you rinse with whatever in the AM... hope this helps!!!

If the bad breath continues and does not get better.. and hopefully does not get worse.. I suggest you visit your dentist.. for periodontal disease starts with really and I mean really bad breath.... not necessarily bad morning breath.. there is a big difference..

Supposedly, if you put the palm of your hand in front of your nose and mouth, fingers pointing to the ceiling, breath out hard, and then breathe in through your nose (smelling) quickly, you should be able to smell your own breath.

If you brush your teeth twice a day, get checked once a year or more, and have not just had something with very strong smells (onions, garlic, cabbage) to eat, you should not have bad breath in your mouth. It is possible to have it come up from the stomach, but I think you would be having other symptoms of digestive difficulties if so (I am not sure on that).

However, if you are worried about it, take breath fresheners with you, and use them before you are in close up situations.

Strange as it may sound - a lot of the patients we get in the ER have very unpleasant odors emanating from their mouths if they are dehydrated.

Keeping well hydrated is one of the first defenses against bad breath! Taking care of your gums and teeth - well that's just plain obvious.

So, if you feel dehydrated, good chance your breath may be a little "ripe."

Lick the inside of your wrist - seriously - if it smells of sulpher a few seconds later - you have bad breath . It's better than the palm as there is less likely other stuff on it.

When you speak people back up just a bit, or immediately put their hands over their noses. If you have a sinus infection, your breathe is rank.........keep your distance. I have dumped guys for stinky breathe.

go up to a really ugly girl and start hitting on her. if she is repulsed, it is probably your breath. but seriously, when in doubt, chew some gum because it lasts longer than mints

I have exhaled into my hand and then breathed it to see what it smelled like. Perhaps you can try that to check.
