i did have one wisdom toothie here.before it was painful but my dentist gave me some meds w/c helped..after 5 months, the pain is back again and i think my mouth gets to swell! what do i have to do? do i have to take the meds i used to take before? it really is a pest! i'm taking antibiotics and pain-relievers? do you also know the foods to eat and avoid during this situation? another is,when i gargle and brush my teeth,i can't do them the way i usually do coz it hurts...what should i do? im thinking on going to the dentist here in the uk but im on a 50:50 state..im thinking if they will make me feel better or after stepping out from their clinic,my life would be damned hell!!!

My wisdom teeth have been coming through for about 2 years. It is really painful, they really hurt for a few weeks then stop for a while then it comes back again. Is it normal for them to take so long?

I clean my teeth everyday and try to look after them, but they have started to bleed a little so i'm worried it may be gum disease. I also have a funny taste in the back of my mouth/throat which i can only describe as when you've sprayed hairspray and accidently get the taste in your mouth! Can anyone advise please?

I just got them out yesterday, and after I eat I can't keep the food down. I'm taking hydrocodone and penicellin. I underwent a general anestetic for the surgery.

I had my first Dental Crown on Monday morning. It is now Wednesday night, and my mouth is KILLING me!! (ok, not literally...) Up until now it's been a little tender, but totally tolerable... suddenly tonight the pain receptors have gone berzerk! I'm taking advil regularly... Any suggestions you might have, or explanations as to why it hurts so much more now, than it did earlier this week, would be REALLY appreciated!

I just found out that I have to have my upper jaw broke and moved down and forward. I am terrified. I have cried off and on since I found out (yesterday). I've had several surgeries so the thought of surgery is not the issue. It's the type of surgery, the pain I'm expecting, as well as the fact that I weigh under 90 lbs. Can't imagine what will happen if I can only have liquids for 6+ weeks. If anyone has had this surgery I would love to talk to you. Thanks.

I need a root canal on one of my Molars, is there a cheaper option besides pulling the tooth?

21yrs old,I haven't been to the dentist in about 5 years.I am petrified of going, cause I know that I am going to need a lot of work done.Besides having a normal, general fear of the dentist, I have MajorDepression,BorderlinePersonalityDisorder, dissociation, and GeneralizedAnxietyDisorder.I am on 5 perscriptions for them, with one of them being Xanax for anxiety.I know that I could take one before going to the dentist, but I really don't want to be awake AT ALL.What determines wether a patient needs to have actual dental surgery done,or if they get a root canal or a regular extraction?these are the problems I am aware of:my very last tooth on the bottom right is gone(by me) But before I took it out,it was only less then half of a tooth for about 2 years. Now,I'm not sure if I didn't get it all out, or if a wisdom tooth is growing but there is a piece of tooth in there.2 other teeth have holes and hurt, and are following the pattern of the first tooth.I'minlots of pain:( jw6667@yahoo.com
