i couldn't wait to get my gates off, lol, but you don't need any medication because there's not too much pain. the only real pain is when they're grinding the cement off your teeth. but its all worth seeing that perfect smile for the first time. oh and your gums are going to swell up but it'll go down eventually. oh and don't be nervous cause while they're clipping off the bracets you can move around and get a lip clipped off or something. lol, jk

If your talking about you teeth. Your orthodontist will take them off. It is totally painless. Expect to feel you have a little more room between your teeth and the inside of your mouth. If you're really lucky, you won't have any hidden cavities.

WELL,...THERE IS A PRETTY GOOD CHANCE YOU LIPS WILL ROT OFF,AND IT WILL BE EXTREMLY PAINFUL...AND ALSO BEWARE OF TH EVIL MUNCHKIN THAT LURKS IN THE SHADOWS OF THE DENTIST OFFICE,AND COMES OUT ONLY WHEN THE DENTIST/HELPERS LEAVE THE ROOM,FROM THEN ON HE WILL PRECEDE TO SEW A PENIS TO YOU FACE AND SPRINKLE HIS MAGICAL FART DUST ON YOU.ONCE THAT HAPPENS YOU WILL TURN INTO A BUTT OF A BABOON.SO YEA, PREPARE YOURSELF! AND BE SURE TO LET EVERYONE KNOW YOU LOVE THEM,CAUSE THEY WONT RECOGNIZE YOU ONCE YOU ARE A BABOON BUTT.....GOOD LUCK BABOON BUTT
